No More Security Questions

Nexon just deleted Security Questions. You no longer need to answer your question to change your password. Just your Last Name and Birthday.

Now any HTP seller can just change the password of your account at will.

I wish they would have kept it. I had the sense to actually remember my secret question answer.

Why would you let a HTP Seller on your account in the first place. You don't even have to use potions as a buyer. It takes no skill to survive HT. Stay on first room safety rope till it is dead, then go in the room and loot.

If a HT Group requires someone to go on your account, why would you even want to buy from them over someone else?

What the pineapple is this? I like my security thank you, since I remember my security info without a problem. Too bad you can't reset e-mail. Maybe then I can pull up my old I/L mage account.

My Marksman's account secret question got changed somehow and I've never been able to change my password.

I know. However, when I ran with DarkLily a few months back, I DCed as soon as the head appeared. I wasn't given a second chance so I changed my password and pin and let a bp play my account.

Most guilds, if you look at their advertisements, require a buyer player.

I ran with DarkLily simply because Bugs allowed me to run myself, and then we found out my Graphics Card not only sucks, it swallows.

They should send you a confirmation email to activate the password change... that would have been more secure.

You never know. This could not be permanent. It could just be available for a period of time. Just like that one time when Nexon put an automatic Pin Reset to help lost accounts.

Any last name can be found out by having ID/Pass. That and there are birthday crackers.

Next up: PINs.

But seriously...wtp. -_- I had to try about 50 times to guess who my best friend from 2005 was to change my secret question.

Pins are already kinda bad too. As long as someone knows your email along with your info they can change your password.

You can easily get someones Email to their account, with just ID and Pass.

And more then likely the password to the email will be the password to the account.

Then all it takes is click and confirmation of Pin Reset.

Security questions are there for a reason. Even though I'm clueless about what the answers to mine were.

You always hear about people losing their answers to their questions.

They probably got tired of all the Customer Service tickets they got about it, so they just deleted it.

If majority of the players don't even know the real answer to it, what would be the point of them?

That's the way I see it. Even though your account is less secured now.

You only need the nexon id and birthday to get a temp password sent to the email.
