Dear Maplers,

It has always been our top priority to minimize and/or eliminate hacking. Lately, there has been a surge of cheaters abusing the game, who intentionally cause discomfort to the community. This morning alone over 100 abusers have had their accounts permanently suspended. We have always been and continue to be dedicated to implementing resolutions to the hacking issues. The purpose of these resolutions is to bring hacking down to a controllable state and minimize its effect on our legitimate gaming community. Unfortunately as long as there are people willing to cheat, cheats will be available. We will continue to negate their affects and deter their efforts.

Allowing mass leeching is causing the mass hacking... Leechers need lots of money and not everyone can buy their way into succes with buying lots of nx each month...

It's Nexon's own fault by allowing mass leeching...

Hackers don't hack anymore for a high lvls (they have pservers to be lvl200), now it's all for the mesos to pay the leech...

But I guess Nexon still likes the NX buyers who pay NX for leech... Hypocrites...

The point is that it was done in one morning. One morning is like 5 hours tops, and 100 accounts in that hour sounds pretty significant.

Yeah. Sure it's significant but it isn't effective. Reassuring players with something like this isn't very smart since we all know perma bans don't do pomegranate.

Hell my friends cousin got banned on 3 accounts and he's just trying to get to outlaw asap.

You make it sound so easy. If it is, go make a patch for them. Otherwise, let them work on it.

Perma ban will get rid of the more emo script kiddies. Hope that they either patch up the hacks and only keep the true hackers (we know how persistent they can be), or keep banning so people are less inclined to hack.

I don't think people know what legit means. Something is only not legitimate if it is against the Terms Of Service.

They are working on getting rid of hackers. This is an announcement to shut you up, not complain about it more.

Cheats will always be available according to Hime. Obviously their staying, so they can't really STOP hacking, just make it so theres no point in doing it.

That's indeed the realistic view. For those that want hackers to be 100% gone, I thought this too back then. It's nothing but a pipe dream. If controlled state means that hackers will be only at unpopular areas, fine with me.

They ONLY got 100 hackers in a morning? I'm sure you can find that many within an hour or two. You could just surf a SINGLE map, like wolf spiders or himes, and get 100 hackers by sweeping out every channel of every server. >_>

I believe they have to enter the hacker's name individually. At least I remember so in an old NXJoe video. Now if they can just right click and ban, and using THAT method they only got 100, then it's not enough.

You also need to consider the afternoon and evening are times where most people are on, because morning = little hackers/script kiddies on due to school.

24/7 patrols please. Hackers know when GMs are on and when they are sleeping, and adjust accordingly. >.>

And yes, patch the hacks.

What I think you need a new pair of specs (or perhaps goggles). You seem to be reading something completely different than what I am writing. Where did I write oh it’s so easy I could stop it in a day? How much time do they need exactly? I mean how long have people been using these same hacks now? At least 4 months, more I think. It’s been so long I can’t even remember. What’s the point going around banning people when hacks are so easily available? They will just be back hacking again.

But you’re right let’s give them time to work on it. Let’s give them about a year? I mean they must have their programmers hard at work right now fixing the Lantica glitch. That must be a 24/7 job. Then once they crack that they will have to get to work on fixing weddings too. They can’t let a little thing like hackers taking over the game get in the way now can they.
