Night Raven Wing killed Stonetooth?

well, they are the same speed.... but the night raven wing requires less dex but it has less attk. do people still buy stonetooth swords?

imo, Night Raven Wings may end up killing the stonetooth not because it is better but because of availability.

at higher levels the 5 extra atk on the stonetooth will be better than the 25 extra STR u will get if you use a NRW. The stonetooth also allows for more room for improvement since a dexless Stonetooth user would naturally be better than a dexless NRW user.

Damage-wise, the difference between the two swords is minimal, however when it comes to availability and cost the Stonetooth loses very badly in these departments, so ya the Night Raven Wing might have killed off Stonetooths already

EDIT: also add the fact that the market for higher levelled two handed swords has been diminished greatly since the 1H sword + ATK shield revolution that has struck the hero - and paladin (although to a lesser extent) - population lately, so there are even much less potential buyers in general.

im glad i dont have to care (lunchbox <3), but i think it remains to be seen. im very curious what the cwk pq rewards will include. maybe well be able to finally obtain these stupid things through nxless measures.

Well, ST kinda got killed due to the flood of Night Raven.

However, ST still wins in several departments:

1) Getting the extra DEX for it. Translates to "omfgwtpbbq" accuracy gain, something that helps a LOT.
2) Unique look, nuff said.

I'd take a ST over a NRW, simply because the extra DEX needed to wield it is a massive benefit for you since you gain a lot of additional acc from DEX equips. Might want to think about that.

(P.S. Isn't gaining 80 ~ 97+ DEX from equips easy nowadays?)

It's pretty easy if you don't mind losing some str/acc from equips.

eg. 10 dex cape, dex overall vs. top/bottom (up to 12-15 extra dex), dex shoe (acc is cheaper + more stats per scroll) can give you around 30 more dex, but you would lose out on about 30 str.

Really a scrolled Zakum helmet and HT Pendant are the big items though, without them 80 is hard, with both you gain 25-35 dex and it's easy. But dex scrolling a helm loses out on accuracy. (8 dex 16 acc vs. 16 dex for +8 helm)

I can equip +72 dex atm but that includes a 9 dex glove.. I have no pendant and my helm is only 16 dex.

2) It has slightly "longer" range

why do people insist on saying this? there are 2 afterimage sizes for 2h swords, and the highest one to have a smaller image is zard. seriously, every time a person asks to compare 2 weapons that have the same range, someone claims one has a longer range than the other and its just not true.

Well i'm a 4 base dex Hero and with equips and all i get a boost of +98 dex, and i wear a STR PAC, making me able to equip a Night Raven Wing all the time, i don't want to switch to DEX Cape and change my 9 dex FS to higher dex warrior boots or go back to dex overall, because i would simply be losing attack and STR. I already have enough accuracy to hit ANYTHING (yeah, even blue mushmom) with a sniper pill. so i don't think i would add dex and switch to dex cape and overall just for better and a little attk.

Question: with either swords, is it easier to hunt bigfoot than with a DS or 1-h? cause i sold my DS and i think 1-h is just not good for hunting this glitched monsters.

Both DS and a 1-H sword of your choice works well for BF hunting.

When I faced the choice between NRW and ST I went NRW. The cost was a huge factor. I got a 108 attack NRW, 12 attack work glove, and an 18 str top for less than what a clean 104 attack ST would have cost.

Yeah after scrolling, the ST would have been higher attack, but at a much higher cost. Plus with the NRW, I reset my dex by 17 and added it into str and still have accuracy of 140 with all my equips.

Eventually I'd like to get a really nice NRW (120 attack+). Its nice knowing that getting there will be a lot cheaper than saving up for a 120 attack+ ST. I know that I could scroll one myself, but I hate taking the risk on things that cost that much money only to blow them up.
