Tower of oz boxes

After completing a stage in the Tower of oz, you get a box, i can get a reward in it, can i change what i would get if i re-open it? Since we can cancel while we are opening it , and actually change the things you can get in the box.

I think the box previews are only visual and don't actually represent what you can get.

It has been tested. What is displayed during the cycle has no correlation to the actual prize.
