Did jumpstarts' hp/mp ever get fixed?

Is Character HP based solely on level now, and not on like a gain for each level up? Are jumpstarts no longer screwed?

I have collected some good stuff on one of my jumpstarts from a hot day and was wondering if they fixed the hp so i could start leveling it.

I think there was a change to mage's max mp so maybe they might have changed the system?
