The movie James Cameron's Avatar is a fictional film and novel gone lopsided. What is the theme of the movie anyways? what is the movie trying to show? what is the message?
With $300 Million US in budget for the complete development of the film, James Cameron first wrote the "unknown/under development/TBA" film project as a Vietnam War memoir kind of a story, much like the racist Miss Saigon. That concept then turned into sci-fi kind of a story, an unknown habitable world in Alpha Centauri called "Pandora", habited by the "blue people". There was a rook "private" soldier named Jake who is in a wheelchair and disabled kind of like Roach from Call of Duty and a tough colonel much like Captain Price. First of all, there is no character development or whatsoever in this novel, they are just straightly recycled rip off characters from Call of Duty. Even Fast and Furious (which I think is a garbage movie) has better character development where they just put an asian guy as a sushi restaurant owner turned racer. wtp!!??
And then to add to that, they have to add a blue lady. The plan is to give her a personality of an african person(instead of Asian unlike previously written in his draft), give her an african accent, make her look like beyonce but painted in blue, make her people look like a violent tribe kind of like the thugs in Brooklyn. This is just racist depiction of culture.
The narrative of the story will have to go like something like this, under the direction of Cameron:
White people of the US Armed Forces came into Pandora. Jake the disabled man met the blue girl and had interracial sex with her. She gave birth to a cyan-colored baby. because of cultural differences, these two race will have to kill each other (that should be the climax of the movie, it needs to have action, Bourne Legacy has action with much less budget), at the end, a ritual will have to be performed on the disabled man turning him into the "inferior" race of the blues. him and his new family are finally reunited. The end.
