Phantom finally gets his revenge?

Love all the new pieces of content.

Now my mind is speculating madly....

The black mage is fully unsealed... He makes his push. The Resistance begins the counter attack. The rest of the Alliance joins the fray. The Black Mage still presses his full strength and the future looks grim..
But then, the other transcendants join forces and awaken ancient masters... They emerge into Maple world with knowledge long forgotten. They usher in the era of FIFTH JOB. They bring the skills necessary to finally seal away the black mage forever.

It's fun to wonder when given such juicy material. =)

It's about time KMS released something actually interesting. The illustrations are really cool. Too bad I have doubts about any of it being fun to play. I haven't been enjoying some of the recent stuff they have added to the game very much. But if it brings 5th job closer then great.

Some speculations about lore. The Npc's which were added in one of previous patches had "timeGap" script, which pretty much determines the content's name. As you can see, there are both wounded and dark Orca, which leads to think about a 3rd twisted future (following Henesys and Perion ones). Honestly, I wouldn't like it being true, cause I want a change to Maple World finally. :I

The Developer's note also mentions Resistance being changed various and new pixel rendering techniques being implented.

The NPCs are related to this update. The Maple Alliance has a role with the whole Orchid & Lotus matter.

I don't see any Black Mage. Commanders, yes. Gelimer, yes. Robots, yes. Black Mage, no.

All I see is a Halberd-like vessel and dogfighting.

How much conflict do we actually see with the factions though? the only one with a problem was the Resistance, who thought the Cygnus Knights betrayed them. Everyone else gets on just fine.

I knew Gelimer had taken Orchid's commander position among the Black Mage subordinates. Anyway, you guys remember that when Gelimer betrayes Orchid he tells The Black Mage doesn't need another follower but a vessel?. What if the one we are seeing in the pictures isn't Lotus but rather the Black Mage himself?

As long as the story in this update is long, well written and captivating I couldn't care less if the gameplay is all that great.

He already did.

My memory with the happenings in this game has been declining. When did that occur? The closest I remember Phantom coming to fight with Orca and Suu was in one of those comics Nexon Korea released.

I think it was dependant on when you completed the quest and on whom.
