Question about DrKs

Arent DrKs useful in zpqing and horntailing? dragons roar can hit all hands/parts of zakum or horntail so why not?

Their wanted into the parties because of:
1) Mostly their Party Skills such as HB
2) Good damage, 2nd best in the Warrior Class, Heroes being the 1st
3) Zerk (Except HT and Zakum? [Not sure about the Zakum], which = Good Damage

I believe they use Dragon Roar to use Zerk because of its ability to make the user lose HP. It's not very good damage as for mobs, but it's cool to watch the screen shake!

zerked DKs are strong as hell. Throw in some windbooster and you got a formula for insane DPS. A good DK can zerk through an entire zak run, and after the legs/tail of horntail are gone. MSea's speed run shows their leader zerking right after the legs/tail are gone.

Roar does crap all damage. I think for me... 10k or so? If I remember right? Been a while since I used it. Plus you need to wait 2-3 seconds between each time you use it. It's a lot faster to just spam crusher, which can do 30k every second unberserked, or 60k with berserk.

Roar's got a minimum HP, a slow cast time, and a worse damage formula (same as 1h swords)... so it's only really about 200% per target to Crusher's 1020%. If Crusher hits 3 monsters, it does more than Roar could to 15.

They are wanted for their HB.
Their damage is ok, not as good as a Hero's.
But still a necessity.

whats the average damage formula for drk roar? i might be useful in zakum when the drk is a lvl 200. damage formula plz?

basically a dk's most important task is to hb those who need it (nowdays most atkers can do without so only the buyers NEED it). their secondairy task is to help attacking, like said above, a zerked dk can deal as much dmg as a hero so you will still be able to help at bosses. even if you cant zerk yet due lower lvl zerk or due lack of max hp then you will still be helping the attackers because there simply isnt much else to do then hb/atk.

right now its possible for a decent dk to zerk at:
zakum entirely
horntail (excluding tails/legs)
pink been (some parts excluded)

David-Syc0phant. Is a 19x DrK with max HP. He zerks on legs at HT and with SI he can KS the legs O_O

Ofc, if you are a PA DrK, which everyone seems to forget in topics like these, you are absolutely pineappleed when it comes to 1v1 (bossing) damage. Barring, ofc, the introduction of a boss with insanely high defense.

OT: Roar is never used for its damage dealing capabilities, primarily because it doesn't really have any. It has a long animation, a 2-4 second stun, will hit without control (aggro'ing things you may not want to), and takes a LARGE chunk of HP from you. Roaring is really only used to gather mobs and to get into Zerking range.

a while ago I found another usefull thing to roar, I was training my priest to get max hs to be hsmule. had hsmule on laptop holding on heal and was doing roar on drk on the map wif those birds in leafre w/e their called. anyways 90% was 2hit so thats faster then running around using crusher also it was fun to feel like some bishop lol. but yeah at zak or anything roar will never outdmg crushers.

DrKs are about just as strong as Heroes when Zerked. Cheaper weapons -> stronger in practice.

If you're comparing 1 crusher vs 1 brandish, definately. But remember that brandish attacks much faster than crusher which allows heroes to usually easily outdamage DrK's overtime. As for cheaper weapons, I don't know about other servers, but a good spear is still plenty expensive in Windia =P Also, it seems that more people are interested in making DrK's now, so prices rising for DrK's is possible in the relatively near future.
