Hard Mode Magnus Hackers of Janurary 2013 Released?
#1
So recently, I've been seeing a few people who've hacked Hard Mode Magnus being released after a year. I was actually quite proud of Nexon because this hacker trap was brilliant. Now I'm starting to wonder whats the point anymore... Hurt

Has anyone noticed any of this in their worlds?

They were released I believe exactly 1 year and 10 days after their bans, so Tongue And yes, every single one of them was released.

Nexon Head-Honcho: *between drinks of sake* "Hmm... our records show that these players haven't hacked in an entire year. They must've learned their lesson, unban them."
Nexon employee: "But sir, they haven't been hacking on those accounts because they have been banned!"
Nexon Head-honcho: *slaps employee* "I said unban those righteous players"

How I imagine the conversation going down.

Does nexon seriously don't wipe out the entire account's items when they ban someone for that long...
I mean really?

God forbid I mention igns as that would be accusing, despite everyone and their mother who plays in Scania knowing this person is a hacker.

I'll just say that the first letters of the ign are rn instead of an m

Wow, that's a oddly arbitrary ban length...and 1 year isn't exactly zero tolerance. I was more bothered though at the time by how many people defended the hackers, as if Nexon was being run by Chris Hansen and entrapping players by setting up the ideal place to do something nefarious. Those idiots still hacked though, so they should have gotten perma banned...

Was the ban meant to be permanent? Cause from what I'm seeing, all of the people that did it have been released.
And I love that Chris Hansen reference! Biggrin

Didn't they all get unbanned as part of that "Second Chances" general amnesty?

I'm not sure myself, but I've only noticed it this month.

Clearly this is nexon's way of introducing "magnus dropped tyrants".

Unless they were deleted when they were banned.

Any tyrants the hackers had were not deleted. That is why there was an influx of them in the FM suddenly shortly before Marvel came out.

I think that's rather hilarious in an ironic point of view.

No reason to delete the Tyrants when they were banned.
The bans were supposed to be permanent, so any Tyrants on the account were as good as lost to the game.
And if they later find that one of those people was unjustly banned, then obviously they don't deserve to lose the items they must have acquired legitimately.

Zenith's one and only major hacker was unbanned along with the others.
