Better Shoe?

What's better:a clean facestomper or an 11 jump, 3 dex 1 speed snowshoe? i ask because at my level (50) the 2 attack doesn't seem to affect my damage all that much.

11 JUmo + 1 speed is overrided by maxed Haste anyways, leaving it with 3 DEX. 2 attack > 3 DEX, lol.

But haste aside, 11 jump is pretty useful for Slingers combined with Wings/Recoil Shot combo. 3 DEX is about 1 attack at lv 50, and, like he said, 2 attack barely makes a difference at lv 50 (at lv 4x for my slinger, normal STR build, it adds appx. 15-20 damage).

Stupid question. Even if you don't notice it, it helps your damage.

The passive jump helps a ton. You get more out of float AND recoil shot. It's also much much much much cheaper.

I still say the best shoe out there for Gunslingers is a good scrolled Yellow Snow Shoe.

You get lots of Jump, Some INT for equips (The only common shoe that gives INT), and can scroll it for Dex.

I myself have Yellow snowshoes. 12 Dex, 4 Int, 14 Jump, 2 Speed.

If I was in your position though. I would choose the attack over the jump, as I stated before. Just depends what you want. More damage, or Better results out of your Float/Recoil.

it depends on builds really, for me, im goinf dexless brawler, so ill need dex, and ive never seen much use for the attack on the shoes except for sins, because of the broken formual they get a better boost. So i would rather have a 10+ dex shoe than a 2 att 2-3 dex shoe, cause i get WAY more use out of the dex. Now for slinger, its different, since the dex is mainly for damage, you would be better off with attack shoes, since there are no shoes for str scroll. On my ranger, i have a 14 dex shoe, which equates to about a lil less than 3 attack.

1. Scrolling could go badly, equating a horrible reduction in the FS value (and not having the jump, which is more useful in lower levels than the attack), and will add even more cost than the already enormous difference between FS and SS.

2. SS can be resold when less useful to purchase FS

3. With saved money from not buying FS, he could buy a TON of nice bullets, still giving him the 2 attack boost.

Whoever scrolls FS for jump is an idiot. You effectively dig yourself into a pretty deep hole by lowering the price of the shoe by a few ten million.

Unless a few ten million isn't much to you.

I sold my Face Stompers when I quit my Shadower.

I would have them besides these Yellow Snow shoes if I didn't sell them. Since they give better stats.

just to clarify, i already have both shoes and can change it at any time(i forged my own face stompers)so i can just use the snowshoes and switch later i guess

1. +3 is about the same value as clean, +4 and +5 are profit.

2. Except that there isn't much resell value on Pirate SS (at least, not in Bera anyways).

And what else do you scroll with? Chaos Scrolls can dig you in a lot deeper than 10 mil since they are more likely to give you a bad outcome. I have friends that have lost billions trying to Chaos Scroll a 4 atk+ FS.

My point was that you can't solo forever, unless you plan on solo-ing from 1-200, the FS will be better. Why? Most of the time, you will probably party with either a Priest (HS), DK (HB), or NL/Hermit (Haste). There's an abundance of Night Lords, so you ar definitely going to get Haste. I account into the fact that he will be partying. Also, Speed-shoes are rather obsolete with Hogs these days. As for Jump, well,that's debatable, since I don't play a Gunslinger to debate on that.

Oh crap. Forgot shoes for jump are the ones that gave dex.

It would probably be better to get the FS anyway; aren't they getting more and more rare? He could always resell a clean set in the future and get a jump snowshoe, or just go ahead and try to scroll the FS (I'd suggest using 60's, since like I said, they're already a bit rare, and a break could burn your wallet).
