Snatch
#1
600% damage to 6 monsters, at 400% range, with pulling, and spammable at 45/minute sounds too good to be true, even if it can only be used half the time max.

Why don't I ever see it used in vids?

because people are demolition/barrage/dragon strike whores.

I suggested a snatch first build somewhere. It sounds like a good idea really. Max snatch + shockwave = wow

I'm still not sure what I wanna do. I put 1 point in most of the skills so far. Maybe I should try that snatch first build? If anyone would like me to use my buccaneer as a guinea pig say YOY YOY YOY YOY YOY (it's from the little rascals Rolleyes).

I'd do it, but I'm already the Energy Orb early guinea pig. : P

Kamehameha > Scorpion's Harpoon by only a bit to me.

Well first of all, it has a 300% range, not 400%. Shockwave is 330% and Dragon Strike 400%. I dont know why snatch doesnt have the same range as Shockwave btw, but that must be Nexon logic...

Anyway, I actually tried spamming max Snatch on my Pserver, and it was quite powerfull, but don't forget it will cost you 30 SP's to max, and you can max Demolition or Dragon Strike instead of it too...

Most people prefer Dragon Strike because of it's extra range (Max DS is VERY - VERY good at newties / skeles) and always-spammability (no transform/ec needed).

Just dont forget that you need to max Super Transform, Demolition, Time Leap, Wind Booster and Barrage asap, that's why most people leave snatch at lvl 1... Smile

D'you get 1 Snatch? Could you try it out to test its rough speed?

No not yet. I was gonna do 11 wind booster then start on my other skills, but seeing how 11 windbooster benefits no one but everyone else, I might start snatch right away.

A good training build sounds like it would go something like 11 wind booster, 21 dragon strike, 1 transform/2 snatch per level til max. I'll try the snatch thing first even though i'm probably gonna hate it Rolleyes, especially since my shockwave is lvl 21.

If SI doesn't really help yourself as much as it helps everyone else...and the duration is pretty long at level 1...do you think we should start on something else and leave SI at a lower level? Or would that hinder getting into parties/bossing too much?

At lvl 11 I believe it only helps DKs, 2H heros, marksmen, and pallys. That's a very small majority of MSers. Leaving it at lvl 1 still benefits all of them, but already fully benefits shadowers, marauders, and 3rd job bowmen. Any party will take you for having lvl 1 wind booster and 1 time leap.

It affects mages too to my knowledge, but i'm only basing that off of the only video i know where a bishop is gene'ing with SI. :f6:

Any idea if it speeds up bishops and AMs even more?

it doesnt. wind booster increases weapon speed, and weapon speed only effects explosion. I have a bishop, and I have a buccaneer. Trust me it doesnt do anything.

11 benefits 3rd job bowmen as well. Not that it matters too much.

Snatch is god when used with Demo in a Macro. I tried it out on a pserver once. Snatch stuns AND brings monsters close to you, throw that in with demo, and you've got like, uber hax damage.

SI 11 is totally worth getting if you plan on HTing at all. If you plan to be a pro in Melee Party at 12x, you gotta go SI 11 first so you're actually worth it, and nothing's more fun than Melee party Lol.

What good is a 12x buc at horntail other than a booster mule. That sounds pretty dumb to me to sit there and cast booster the whole run. By the time any buc can actually hit/do decent dmg, they'll have 11 wind booster anyways.

don't you mean snatch -> shockwave?

Snatch -> Demo is for stun critting. You might as well just Demo, crits don't make much of a difference without SE.

At CGs or Himes, Snatch would be God. Run across the map hitting everything with it, then chain it with Shockwave on the survivors. Repeat.

snatch -> demo just doesn't make any sense to me. Demo is strong, but its animation is insanely slow. If someone wanted to train fast, they would use mobbing skills and not demo. Demo is great for bosses though, which can't be stunned. Demo can pretty much OHKO any monster even at low lvls anyways. Even without the crit.

Well, it's basically to look flashy, I guess. Demolition on the whole is too slow for training, I agree to that.
