What are the various Bind Categories?
#1
I know there are different Bind categories and you have cool downs for like Empress and using two binds, even from different players if they are in the same category, but which characters have which types of Bind and what category are they classified as?

From another thread a while ago:

Group 1: Dark Bind (DS), Armageddon (Lumi), Bloody Imprison (DA)
Group 2: Smite (Paly), Confine Entangle (Xenon)
Group 3: Binding Tempest (Kanna)
Group 4: Veritable Pandemonium (Kanna)

I think more were added in the RED revamp, but I don't know them, so I hope someone else can answer those Smile

Have you tested Kanna's Hyper Bind? According to a Japanese blog I read before we got Kanna/Hayato hypers, it's actually like this:

Group 1: Demon Slayer, Demon Avenger, Luminous, Dawn Warrior, Ice/Lightning Archmage, Kanna's Hyper Bind
Group 2: Paladin, Xenon
Group 3: Kanna's Binding Tempest

Ah, no I haven't.

I figured since Kanna's first bind was in it's own category, the second one would be too, since I know the 2 binds can be used straight after each other.
That is actually pretty disappointing if that's the case.

Kanna's Hyper Bind is with the DS DA group.

Extractions listed "LMArmageddon" right by the delay for Kanna's Hyper bind, so it should be in the same category as the Luminous bind.

You would think the hyper bind would be stage 3, given you get it after binding tempest...

Yeah that's what I thought but noticed different yesterday during Cygnus which prompted the question.

This is the way I like to think about it:

Group 1: Paladins and Xenons
Group 2: Kanna's Binding Tempest
Group 3: Everything else

Binds last 15-20 seconds, and bosses can resist binds from the same category for 60(?) seconds. Using binds from different categories can indefinitely bind a boss.

You have to account for the CD on the bind skills themselves, but if you have multiple binders (ie. a xenon and a paladin, for their tier, and an IL/Phantom/shade and Kanna for the throwaway tier) and Time Leap, I guess you could.
