Here's the cool part. (Depending on your beliefs) The chinese version -is- Free to play. Which honestly makes me a bit more optimistic the eventual NA release will be F2P as well. Granted i know about the F2P downsides all too well...its just i have a lot of friends who couldn't commit to a subscription fee.

Damn, would prefer to play with translations, though. I was surprised when the page listed "English Server," but that's just for chat, huh.

I won't be playing often myself. Though I'll be going for the one all the way to the right. Access to blade and soul is nice, but the ping issues, along with the language gap really do damage the gameplay. I strongly advice trying anything like kung fu fighter where the combo's are ridiculous in terms of the small windows.

Yea, I can't really see the point other than to try it out early.
Any kind of investment in a chinese server sounds terribly unproductive in a larger perspective. Especially from the states or from Europe.

Absolutely, I reccomend everyone who hasn't to give at least a try. It's a refreshing experience compared to other games.

To anyone that plan to play this version more seriously, know that the change from p2p to f2p has brought with it limitations on content that you can participate in without paying. I hear there are boxes you can't open without paying for example.

Also there's a SC going on right now from what I can tell, so don't fret if you can't get on.

If you see that message it means the login queue for non VIP members is full so just keep spamming the play button until you get queued, then wait 2 hours for 3000 people to login before you.

In my opinion that's very good. It was so excessive in the Korean Version videos I saw that it actually turned me away from the game.

If I wanted softcore porn, I'd just Google it, I don't need that pomegranate harassing my video games.

I am against censorship out of principle though, hence why I am unsure how to feel about it.
The art style has been a certain way since the console games, and I hate it when art gets tampered with for what ever reason. It is a slippery slope.
If they can pull off the censoring without it feeling like they've limited the artstyle, I am all for it though. And no, this it is not all revolving around boobies.

Believe me, the experience of actually playing it, it's ruined my perception of how games should be. It's fluid, with intensity behind the attacks, with a graceful like type of mobility. Being able to glide, run on water, while doing strikes, man it's beautiful.

Holy crap i am having so much fun with the controls; the fact that i'm not locked into animations on EVERY attack makes it a hell of a lot better than TERA on that merit alone. The customization is AMAZING, even though me and my friend both made Lyn, the differences in their appearances is mindblowing. My lyn's psuedo realistic porportions and face contrasts heavily to her lyns doll-like appearance. I keep looking at the screenshot we took and it just amazes me every time i look at it. On that note... Lyn are so adorable and is easily the cutest "chibi" race i have ever seen.

Also, i have yet to get bored with sprinting and gliding around places.

I don't see why its so difficult to just make stuff like that optional, just add a 'mature physics/design' checkmark in options, leave it off by default. Only those who like that stuff will see it and it won't be imposed on those who don't. Long as it isn't actually harming anyone i could care less. but I -do- care about the right of one's intellectual properties to go unaltered. I may not agree with what you say but ill defend your right to say it and such.

Oh uhh, there's an english patch that patches some but not all of the UI now. But since its technically a mod i don't know if posting it is permissable here. I'll just say it exists and leave it at that.
