Basic phonetics can help with that. As long as you remember what each symbol sounds like you should be able to read from a dictionary and pronounce correctly.

i have problems with words like "naive" that don't sound the way i'd expect them to sound

I attempted it.

I might have screwed up a couple words. I also tried to use a "standard American accent" as much as I could (my default is a Carolina accent with a slight Asian inflection), so it may sound a little forced.

Oh god this was horrible to read outloud e-e

Speaking French and English kind of fucks me up sometimes and my really bad articulation doesn't help. I feel like my mouth produces a lot of saliva after a while and it gets hard to keep on pronouncing.
