250 Attack Cap
#1
I feel like this was discussed (albeit scattered) on SP, but I cannot find it for the life of me.

Has the 250 unenhanced attack cap been removed in KMS when Unlimited hit?

A lot of the Google sources say it hasn't, but I have my doubts since it is now very possible for a Fafnir to obtain 250 attack.

Thanks in advance! All the best.

Edit: Oops was it 255? Out of it today, but you know what I mean...

It was 255, iirc (8-bit, 2^8 - 1)

although I am also wondering the question you posed

Good luck getting your answer, I started a thread with the exact same title a few months ago and it turned into a MEE thread. Not that I didn't learn anything, just not what I was looking for.

I stumbled upon someone on Basil saying that their whatever-weapon was able to pass said cap, but they never provided a screenshot. When I got there, if I get there, I was just going to test with a Return Scroll if I didn't get my answer. However, that won't be for awhile.

it's just extremely difficult to find out ._. so you'd have to excuse the lack of answers.

In theory it should have been removed a long time ago.

I'm guessing this would have been fixed when other 255 max capacities were fixed as well (having a max of 255 unused SP/AP, for example).

I think it was still capped at 255 before MTS removal. That's when people were doing the infinite slot glitch on HTPs and other stuff.

Don't know about now.

Those other fields were capped due to technical reasons (only a byte allocated to hold them).
Attack was uncapped to begin with, and only got limited to prevent hacks and exploits from producing truly monstrous items.

Oh, I thought they were all capped because of the 2^8 - 1 limitation. Nevermind!
