Final Fantasy XV

Yep, the game previously known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been rebranded and will now be known as Final Fantasy XV, the next big game in the series. (and it will be exclusive to the PS4, QQ)

It's only a leak at the moment, but apparently the source is very reliable.

What do you think about this? I know some people were very excited for Versus XIII.

I personally am not sure about this. While obviously Versus looked good, I was happy with it being different because it was just a spin off, i'm not really sure about it being a main series title.

PS4 exclusive...welp, guess I'm not getting that.

....I was sorta excited for it to be for the 360 and PS3. Oh well, time to look for another game to be hyped about. :/

Final Fantasy XV, meanwhile, is said to feature open world gameplay and be bigger than Skyrim.

Also Final Fantasy Agito XIII or Zero or whatever it ended up being named.

Versus becoming a full main series game means they will probably have more people working on it, and better production values. They will probably revamp the game somewhat.
(we can hope)

Are you....I'm Not liking you more and more SE...but then again it was expected so I can't be too mad.

I'm kinda upset that it's going to be PS4 exclusive, but I guess Final Fantasy 7,8,9,10, 10-2 and 12 were all playstation exclusive too so I shouldn't be too surprised. (I'm aware that 7 and 8 were ported to PC too, years later, but they are so hideously expensive)

That being said, i'd probably got a PS4 for both this AND KH3. It's stupid that I was actually tempted to get a PS3 for games like Uncharted and The Last of Us, and now they are bringing out a PS4.

There's no backwards compatibility because they're changing the processor architecture, so old games won't be able to run.

Of course that's still no excuse because they could throw on a PS3 emulator. But instead of that, you can buy your games again and ~stream them~

Basically, because Cell processing was a piece of pomegranate. They're not lying, strictly, but it's a real plantain move still.

Moving it to the PS4 (A "questionable" move. I think it's...okay), the amount of years it's taking (Roughly 8), their other projects getting the backseat, (XIV/Realm Reborn,KHIII(Fan Favorite), etc.) I mean, come on, let's be honest, this is taking forever.
