Tips for Hero
#1
Ok i am now 139 and have brandish maxed and AC at 29.I am looking for advice as to what to build next. I would like to HT as early as possible, but realistically I understand this will be in the mid to upper 15x at earliest. I also know that I need Stance maxed in order to be effective. My question is what would should i put some points into to help me lvl quicker. The way I am thinking is I can start building Stance around 145 and still have it maxed by 155, assuming that i can get and pass Stance20 but we will pretend that isnt an issue. Also if you believe this may be a total fail plan I would love to hear your reasoning.

Thank You

1h or 2h?

Work on stance (even level 10 is crazy effective), then a little rush, then achilles/guardian. That should probably set you up for HT.

I am 2h at the moment. I have a 119 1 slot lunchbox but have been having poor luck with making a shield without popping it

You could just 100% the box O_o. Or go HTing for a while so you can afford a pomegranate load of white scrolls and 10% it, or a GM scroll.

Rush is your friend.

I'd reccommend maxing Stance next. You don't NEED achilles or guardian or rush for HT, but a high level stance is DEFINITELY useful. You can HT at 150, accuracy permitting. That's what I'm going to do with my skills, anyway.

Could you elaborate? I'm in a similar circumstance and would like some more details. Why isn't 1 rush sufficient?

Also what skills are necessary for HT? 30 Stance, how much Achilles? Thanks. And sorry for hijacking your thread D:

Well, what else are you going to get SP in before level 145? Redface
Rush gives extended mobility, and you'll handle mobs more efficiently. And the range-increase is also quite handy, actually.

Stance, not getting KBed is magical.

One point is rush is fine and more rush isn't more useful than stance unless the extra % allows you to kill in less hits consistently.

For HT, Brandish/AC 30, Stance 20-30(20 works but 30 is better) are required. You don't need achilles (you can even touch the legs with just PG) or anything else. Armor crash is nice for the main heads if you maxed it 3rd job.

For both leveling and HT stance is the best skill to get right now(after you put one more point in AC)

Thank you so much for all the usefull input. I will proceed with a stance build next and from the look of things a mix of rush and MW seeing how I do spend a lot of time grinding at CWK guards.

Hmm, well, I maxed rush before stance (only 2 days before though), but I never really felt any difference when training. I suppose ACB and its stun helps out.

Well since a hero has the same range 1h and 2h, they both don't need stance as much when training, as to a 1h paladin. If you're bossing, rush isn't a bad idea to leave out for awhile

A few things I'm finding wrong, could be just my opinion...

It's mighty useful to have 1 Rush when you're killing paps left and right. You can keep it into the corner even when you drastically fail at KBing it for some reason. Rush can also be useful for ignoring attacks, such as pap's 1/1 (mainly for if it stuns + 1/1 you, the timing is more or less good). I prefer to think of it as a tricky-timed gmode xD

Stance for training as a 1h Paladin is a bit iffy. The only reasons I'd see getting it is if you really wanted to extend your reach, and to do that you had to jump inside monsters, or you are trying to climb ropes and you keep getting knocked off. Actually you could benefit from Stance if you're really prone to falling off cliffs (I hope not o.O). Other than that, no real reason to get Stance for regular training.

Old thread too, no?
