SimCity: Interest in Southperrica?
#1
Anyone playing this?

I made a region named "Southperrica" and it's going to be a private region, so that players have to be invited in to make cities there. There's room for 16 cities if anyone wants to join in. [[Note: This will be on the Europe East 1 server. There don't seem to be many issues about connectivity wherever you are, because I was connected to a West Europe server at first.]]

Leave your Origin name so I can add you and invite you to the game!

I wanted to play it, but origin keeps me from playing it.
Have fun though.

I was crazy excited for the game, but then read that you needed dedicated internet access to play it, then got sad, then got mad because they tried to cloak their DRM intentions.

I'm not putting my money anywhere near this stupid DRM. I'll stick to SimCity 4, thanks.

As soon as I get home I'll post a new shot. It's expanded a lot since that screen!

My town (outside of Southperrica) is really crappy looking. I blame it on the awkward layout of the land. ;a;

also my noobishness.

I've got to ask, you guys played SC4, right?
How you feel about the unused space between cities and how big do you feel the cities compared to SC4?
Been wondering since they look like let downs but they might not be as noticeable while actually playing it.

No, I didn't play SC4. And I suppose if you played it you would be annoyed at the apparent size difference between cities in the two games. But honestly, I don't see a problem right now.

Jedwalla update: The view from the new schools is pretty cool.

Okay, here we go!

I present to you all... the new town of West Jeddsey! In the background is the lovely city of Chinvue, which is also on the up and up.

I talked it over with Jon, and since NA West 2 is such a popular place to play in, we decided to start over in Europe East 1. It may be more comfortable to some people, and it definitely makes availability a bit easier.

Southperrica is now open to anyone. It's completely public, which means we may get some random people playing along. But that's better than just having empty cities!

Do come join us!

...and here we thought the D3 launch was horrible.

I love Simcity games and all, but it's not worth it as long as Origin is needed with it.

SimCity = Good Game, most people seem to think like that and im inclined to believe them.

But then Ugly EA reared his ugly head with a entirely not necessary always on DRM and his spawn of the devil Origin software for game management. Now they are paying the prize for being stupid enough of trying the always on DRM without sufficient infrastructure to handle the amount of stress the players gave to their servers. I would honestly tell people to stay away from this game until EA gets his head out of his Ass and solve their problem.

Sorry, but I felt it needed to be posted.
