Is this really fast for 'poking' at typing? Lol.. I amaze myself at times.

So, I was using a keyboarding thing (for college, actually), and I found out I type at 100 wpm ... 'poking' at the keyboard. As in, I only use my index finger(s) to literally POKE at each button. I can use two hands (proper-way), but I end up typing slower.

Once, I turned on my webcam and showed my gf how I typed, and she literally freaked out at how fast I type using ONLY my index fingers. My finger looked like it jumped all over the keyboard.. here's the screenshot of me doing 100 wpm with my index fingers. I wonder if there's someone that actually did faster that this (with only index fingers, of course, ya know).

How the hell do you do shift keys? I'd find it really hard. And do you use your thumb for the spacebar?

Sorta. I shift my hand around really fast, I can either:

a) Hit it with my thumb really fast.
b) Hit it with my index.

Both takes the same amount of time.

As for Shift.. Left hand's index finger on SHIFT, right hand's index finger on [insert key here]. Not hard.

Do you look down when typing with your indexes?

Sorta. I shift my hand around really fast, I can either:

a) Hit it with my thumb really fast.
b) Hit it with my index.

Both takes the same amount of time.

Many many many years of doing this, my friend. My fingers reacts pretty fast. <_<; That's probably why I can play Fox and SHFFL on Super Smash Brothers Melee pretty well, and that might explain why I play a Night Lord on MS, haha!

I can type pretty quickly, and I just realized now I only use my indexes to type the letters and i use my ring finger for shift :O

Dunno how fast I type though, probly not that fast :p

Yes, if you've seen my Night Lord's configuration, the attacks and skills are scattered from QWERTY, ASDFGH, ZXCVB. Those are mainly skills, NM = pots. And my index controls the half left of the keyboard. The only time I don't use my index finger, is to tap "Q" with my middle finger, and spacebar with my thumb.

A link would be good so that we could judge for ourselves how accurate the one you're using is...

On most, I hover around 150ish typing in my way, about 80 typing the proper way and about 80 with the 2-index method. My hands move way more than they should but it works and I generally don't make typos so it's alright by me. I'm sure that I could be a tiny bit faster if I learned the proper way but it's not worth the hassle at this point.
