1. Do the class specific books become tradeable after you identify them?
2. Is the special master book from the mystery special mastery book tradeable?
3. Is there a limit to how many books one character can buy?

3. It was one per character for previous events, but it seems that there are no limits for Tempest (talking strictly about Special Mystery Mastery Books).

I bought 5 on my Luminous. As it stands right now, my lvl 142 Luminous has passed all of his books thanks to the SMBs. You just have to buy them 1 at a time.

Dammit... shouldn't have spent so much on those Lumi MMBs... failed 1 special MMB worth of books, and 1 special MMB worth of books lying around doing nothing now.
