Egg is better but I don't recommend using it anywhere other than profitable bosses (Empress, PB, etc.).

Some of the more popular Reverse weapons can go for 15-25m and Timeless weapons can for 40-60m if you want to take the time to craft them (Rock of Time don't sell for squat anyway...). I don't bother with it much anymore unless I'm bored during 2x though.
