Southperry Minecraft Server Ressurection

Hey folks,

I am building a home server here in the next 2-3 months or so and I was wondering if you all would like a SP Minecraft server again?

I have done some testing with an old Pentium 4 Dual core desktop acting as my server, and it performs SURPRISINGLY well! I have had 12 people connect at once on TF2 without lag. I have had 11 people connect on Minecraft without lag as well.

That aside, the build i am looking to make will have 16GB's of RAM and an 8 core processor. It will be up 24/7, and I have a 35mbps upload pipe in my home.
If for some reason you don't know what that means, it means that my computer can handle a ton of things, and my upload speeds rival a dedicated VPS by most standards.

This version of my server will have several enhancements. I will be handing out moddom for control panel access/management. I will be running a dynamic mapping program (like this http://brown.rice.edu:8123/). I will also have server status widgets on its SP page.

So what do you think? You in? Not? Let me know! I've only got enough room for 3 MC servers, so speak now or the slot is being used elsewhere!

I don't know much about minecraft. I have always been interested in playing it. I downloaded the free one awhile ago and played it by myself. I didn't quite get what I was supposed to do, but I'm sure you guys could help me with all of that? Anyways I would totally be down to play if its free and someone can help me understand how the game works. =)

I call any NPC Villages whiten a certain range if it's in survival. I shall make them my kingdom.
Still though, Zel, we want it back.

When I do set up the server (keep in mind we are talking like 2-3 months from now) I will have you guys help me make the spawn point.
