Holy Symbol Abuse?

With HS you get 110% Exp if you're alone, and 150% if there's party members in the map, right? But what if that other person can't leech? ie, if a level 140 Bishop Gens at Newties with a level 50 HB mule, would the bishop get 110% exp or 150%? I know the mule wouldn't get any Exp because he's much farther than 5 levels from the mobs. :<

You only get the 150% bonus if somebody else leeches. So if you're just with a non-leeching HB Mule only, you get the 110% bonus.

i thought about this too, but as soon as i went to mdt i understood you only get the bonus if someone leech, because when i killed a mdt alone and the priest didnt get any exp, i didnt get the hs exp bonus nor party exp bonus.

Of course, if you had an HP fighter with power guard and some way to heal him, it's a completely different story.

hs modifies the total xp provided by each monster:

if you kill it and no one leeches you get 110% of normal
if you kill it and people leech the monster provides 150% of the usual xp (like 1k -> 1.5k). the person who did the most damage can receive up to the 110% value of the xp. (if you kill a 1k xp monster w/ hs at lvl150 with a really low lvl leecher, like lvl50, the xp distribution goes like 1100 for the lvl150 and 400 for the lvl50.)

im not sure the maximum possible xp from leeching, dont usually look.

If the priest hsed you and the priest isn't high enough level to leach from the monster and the priest didn't hit the monster, then you should have gotten 110% of the normal exp given if no one else was in the party.

Specifically, it splits 20% to the killer, and the rest based on level.

A 150 with a lv.50 leecher splits 60-20 on the other 80% of the exp so the leecher gets 300 and the killer gets 1200, as far as I know.

It just so happens that the amount of EXP that each person gets from a kill can't exceed 110% of the original EXP, before party bonus/related pomegranate.

So no, even with a PG leecher, you won't gain any "extra" EXP.

ive actually gone around at gobies with my sister: her 8x and me 13x - enough of a difference to max out my xp. the most i could ever get from a bone fish is actually 2001 + 199. it rounds weird for bone fish for some reason, but obviously 110% for them is 2200. multiple levels for her too, so i KNOW i was maxing out my xp.

Well, i didn't know that . I never really had reason to make parties like that though.
