Someone critique, though. I used copypasta since strategywiki had only to 2nd job and maplewiki had none at all, and HS is not the most reliable of places. Redface

It would be more helpful if you were to give more information about your playing style. The build provided above is great if you like to have some extra skills to play with, and if you like the mobility granted by Flash Jump. However, if you want to move on to higher-level monsters sooner, you'll be shafted a bit by that build as you won't max Shadow Partner as soon as you should.

My personal build has gone, and will proceed, in this fashion:

 Spoiler

Final Skill Set:
Shadow Partner Lv30 (Maxed)
Avenger Lv30 (Maxed)
Flash Jump Lv20 (Maxed)
Alchemist Lv20 (Maxed)
Meso Up Lv20 (Maxed)
Shadow Web Lv20 (Maxed)
Dark Sight Lv20 (Maxed) *Maxed because of usefulness compared to Shadow Meso.
Shadow Meso Lv1

As you can see, I chose to forgo Lv1 Avenger at Lv70. Personally, I chose to do this because Avenger did not show any use for me at that point. If you are training in an area where you will benefit from it, feel free to put your first point into Avenger--you'll max Shadow Partner at Lv80 either way.

Probably I'll go
lv.70: 1 Avenger (since I won't use 60 second SP anyway)
lv.71-77: 3 SP (ending up at 21) - either way, at level 74 SP would hit 2 minute timer
78-79: 4 more Avenger, 1 FJ, 1 SP
80-82: max SP (8 points)
Then max out FJ, Avenger, Alchemist, Meso Up, and Claw Booster (roughly in that order) I think I have 8 claw Booster at the end of 2nd job (decided to max out Dark Sight instead) so that leaves 18 SP to put in Shadow Web and 1 Shadow Meso.

Agreed! Although I don't have maxed dark sight, I maxed shadow meso at 11x. I will have plenty of spare SP after level 195 so maybe I will max DS finally.

Sorta what I did with mine. Except I did:

70: 1 SP
71: 1 Avenger, 2 SP

Max out SP, then put some points into Avenger (enough to get Flash Jump), and then max out FJ asap, and then max out Avenger afterwards. Even with this build, people said:

"Go avenger!"

And to be honest, I rarely find occasions where I would even use Avenger... except for Himes and mob-luring and what-not. Even at Squids, I would prefer SP+L7 over Avenger, even if it's the very bottom platform, Avenger didn't really seem to speed up my training rate, nor lower it. If you want a fun build, I'd say max FJ early for sure. I'm one of the few NLs that didn't regret the path that I've chosen. <_<

If you've been following the old cookie cutter build, ie max nimble body instead of darksight, then I suggest you max darksight before meso up and shadow web. Put the remaining point into claw booster, as that will give you 180 seconds, which is the same as SP. This is my current build atm, max darksight, 18 booster, no shadow meso.

As for build, I'd suggest you go full SP first, this gives you 1% more at level 78 and 79, over 1 avenger. After that, it depends on where you want to train. If say you're planning to snipe newtie, then avenger isnt going to be that useful, but if you're going for windraiders, then avenger is what you want.

Thanks guys, i have another question.
Should I max shadow meso or meso up? ,because I dont think meso up is very useful.
Note: You have to post a skill build, it could also be a list of the skills I should max.

I don't see why Shadow Meso is useful, actually. Unless you run out of stars, Meso Up is more helpful for you to gain Mesos, even though you may or may not use it, it has a true use, unlike Shadow Meso. <_<

I have lv 1 Shadow Meso for fun though. The real question is, Shadow Meso or Shadow Web? Because not many people use either, but you can use Web to trap Himes and solo Tengu, or you can use it to temporarily stop monsters, and thus, help newbies get to certain areas. ;/

Shadow Meso is a skill not worth sitting on. Meso Up is free mesos, seems like an easy choice to me.

Basically throw every point you have into Shadow Partner until you've maxed it. Most people toss in a point of Avenger somewhere, but personally I think it's a load of cowmuck. The damage of it is terrible and it only hits 4 enemies and in the last few SP Shadow Partners's damage goes up a decent bit with every point, and you need it. Unmaxed SP damage is pretty godawful.
At this point you could either start Alchemist, or another skill. But as everyone only does sniping of Newts and such, might as well be practical and lose less money doing so. And if you go to a place actually not a million times above your level like Squids, it helps more than any other skill at this point.

After that you could head for Himes, and thus need Avenger. But depending on whatever server you're in they could either be crowded as hell, or completely deserted and Tengumonsters running rife. Otherwise Gobies are still an option but once again maxed Avenger is highly recommended.

At this point it doesn't really matter anymore because people don't know how to level anymore without incredible ease and you'll bugger off to Newts, so you'll probably want to go for Flash Jump which'll you have maxed earlier and completely ignored anything I typed up here because people can't resist. From this point on you just finish up whatever skills you still need to do save for Shadow Mesos. If you haven't got maxed Dark Sight yet, you'd best be off doing that after 11x with your leftover points, and whatever other skill if you maxed it already in first job. Eventually you'll have SP (MAX), Alc (MAX), FJ (MAX), MU (MAX), Avenger (MAX), Shadow lolWeb (MAX), Shadow Mesos can get lost and doesn't need to be loved.

Thanks for the info.
I think i got a good idea for a skill build, which i might post later for rating or something.

Edit: I also saw on Sleepywood that after you max the important skills, you put the rest in Dark sight. Is this true and does this mean i put points into Dark Sight, instead of Shadow Mesos?

If you look back to my build, posted above, you'll see that I am taking this route. Mainly due to the fact that maxed Dark Sight grants normal speed, which can turn to be substantially useful. Most Hermits/NLs don't find much practical use in Shadow Meso, so they opt to go for Dark Sight.
