Can someone post a brief description of what they are, how they work, how they're made in kMS Tespia, and who can use what?
From the videos I've seen the Warrior and Pirate ones look pro as hell, but the Fire Mage one looks like a crappy weakened F/P ArchMage. Please don't tell me the class you use them on determines the Knight you get, because I'd REALLY like to not be getting a second, less-powerful Fire Demon as a freaking F/P. That's the worst game development to Magicians I've ever seen if that's truly the case.

All magicians get flame wizard as their cygnus character =/
By the way, even though they're made through Mr. Goldstein in KMST, they'll probably advance in their own area once they arrive in kMS.

That's not how it works. You can make your Cygnus character whatever you want.

Felix, lol. Yea, shouldn't have asked the first question as it's answered there in depth, but my main question was whether or not all Magicians HAVE to get the flame wizard.
And Cyanne said that's the case, so right now I'm really pissed after seeing every other Knight for other classes. They're all much better than the Flame Wizard, and their skills can actually be USED on bosses, compared to watching the Flame Wizard work on Griffey, where it's special skills are null and void. GG yet again.

Seeing as cygnus characters suck ass at bosses anyway, flame wizard is the best choice as it trains the fastest (meteo + mist = epic training win) so your main character can get that sexy level 12 sprite skill.

They shouldn't even be fighting "normal" bosses like zakum/horntail anyway.
They're supposed to have their own cygnus bosses in the cygnus area, and we don't know how that works yet so no one can really say that Flame wizard is the worst at bosses.
And you can make any Cygnus character, regardless of your main's class. You have to go through a series of quests that introduce you to Cygnus, it's classes, and a little bit of storyline. Once you finish and arrive at the Cygnus area, you can get your noblesse created and advance it to your liking.

Oh really? It would've made more sense the other way. Plus, the underpowered classes would be severely underpopulated like some of the 12 classes we have right now. Are you sure it's official and not just some tespia thing?

See this is why I'm still confused. I'm getting mixed messages of "you can make any Cygnus character for use with your main, regardless of class" to "you have to have a Flame Wizard if you're a Magician." Can ANYONE clear this up?
@ Takebacker: Yay weakened Meteo and Flame Wizard's version of Mist? That helps an F/P ArchMage out a lot, doesn't it?

I was under the impression that you used any level 30 character, it became a noblesse, and you could then advance to any cygnus.

You have to have a character that is level 30 or above. You talk to whoever to make a Noblesse character. You must have a free slot available on that account on that server for the character. You are limited to one Knight of Cygnus per server.
There is a skill added to the beginner list. I forget the name atm. <_< Basically, it is dependant upon your character's level. So, my crusader is level 85. If I created a Noblesse, the level of the Noblesse's skill would be 8. If I level'd that noblesse to, say, 30, then my crusader's skill would be 3. It is equal to the first digit (or 2 digits if you get to 100+) of the other character.
Froz, if you stayed at 16x and made one, then that character would start with a level 16 of that skill. It can go up to 20 (highest level being 200).
For YOUR skill, the highest it can be is 12. Knights can only go up to 120. They have no 4th job, and they get Echo of Hero (right skill name?) at 120.
You can choose any path you like, just like turning a beginner into another job at level 10. For my crusader, I can choose to be any of the 5 Knights, and I wouldn't be limited to one individual one.
The same would go for you. You can make any job that you like. It all starts as a Noblesse, or the Beginner equivalent. You then choose from there.
I would like to note that a lot of this is just what I've read and picked up on. There might be a few inaccuracies, but generally, this is pretty close. B>Isaac's proof-reading ;P

Since when? I thought someone just mixed up the Soul Warrior's Soul Charge with Echo of Hero.

Yep. The level 120 is equivalent to the level 200's quest. I would presume that you can't get the dragon mount with a KoC character, since the requirement is level 200. :X

Thanks for the information.
Sorry again if this is somewhere else, but:
Essentially this system is leveling a Knight of Cygnus character which is like leveling just another character, but then a DIFFERENT character on the server can use the powers of that Knight while playing? For example, I'll make a level 30 Striker, and then I can play that Knight exclusively like it's any other normal character (ie, I level it up using Cygnus skills, perhaps lolleech if I want, etc.) until it gets to level 120, when the game is essentially over for the character (side question: are EXP tables the same for Cygnus Knights?). On the flip side, you have the Knight of Cygnus skill on all of your other characters, with the skill level (1-20) being determined by the first digit or two of your level.
What then affects strength of a Cygnus "summon," if you will, on a main character like my F/P AM or someone's 8x Crusader? Is it just the level of the base skill itself, or is it a combination of that and the level of skills on the Cygnus?
Thanks again for the help! At the very least now I'm excited to know I can have any Cygnus as a Magician .

To my knowledge, you can't get the cygnus summons onto your main character.
The skill that you do get is a few stats boost. See Blessing of the sprite-> http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4636
Oh, and it's not the level of YOUR character that the game uses to work out sprites level, it's the other one.
EG, if you have a level 50 mage, the cygnus will have level 5 blessing. If you have a level 120 cygnus (the cap) , your main 'real' job will have level 12 sprite.

No, you don't have to be a Flame Wizard. You get to pick your job.
