Perhaps remastered was the wrong word to use. They've changed it quite a bit unfortunately.

I never fully watched the original. I've only seen parts of the episodes on Toonami back in the day. I guess now's a good time to start.

Take that with a grain of salt as it seems, at least for now, that they're making it to the plot of the upcoming movie.
