Carved Silver Seals have a 50\% chance to add one line of potential to an item with 2 or less lines, while Carved Golden Seals have an 80\% chance. They do not, however, reset potentials.

What's the Potential System?

• A potential is a special type of bonus attribute on a piece of equipment. You will occasionally find equipment with unidentified bonus attributes; these equips will have a label on them saying "Hidden Potential Item." You need Magnifying Glasses, which can be purchased from store NPCs, to identify the potential on those items. Tiers include: Rare, Epic, Unique, and Legendary, with Legendary being the most powerful. Higher tiered items will have better potential powers.
  
• You can only get items with hidden potential on them as drops from monsters or if you transform them yourself using a Potential Scroll or Tim's Secret Lab. If items with potential are fused, the resulting item will also contain potential.
  

What do Cubes do again?

All types of Miracle Cubes reset the Potential lines on your item. However! Each cube has different properties. Please check out our handy-dandy

I do tend to have better luck during these, but it's still luck based, so you'll never really know for sure. I believe in it enough that since those new cubes appeared this week, I decided not to cube anything till this weekend hoping for an event. I'm just gonna assume from now on, that this event will appear when those cubes do. Actually... since I've returned to Maple a little more than month ago, I haven't cubed outside of these events.

Sadly, I only have 40k to use today.
