Boomerang Step 30?

Is it worth it for Bstep 30 vs 21 and level 9 MW? Im not a real stat wh0re or anything (in fact, most of my gear is pretty bad), but I would like to maximize my damage output, and I do tend to solo quite a bit more than party. Which would be better for me, 21 Bstep + 9 MW or 30 Bstep + 0 MW?

Sorry if this is like, painfully obvious or something, im not sure on the exact calculations in upper levels of the skills and im not sure which build to go in general, im just improvising.

Well, MW would increase your overall damage and helps all skills, while the 9 levels of BS only increase the damage of BS, so I would go with the 21/9, and level 21 BS already hits 4 monsters as well.

Thats what I was thinking, however im not sure just how much those 9 levels of Bstep increase its damage, if its significant enough I may just end up going the Bstep route.

The damage significance is not that great between level 21 and 30 BS. Level 21 BS does 455% damage, while maxed BS does 500%. From level 1-20, BS gains 10% damage each level, but from 21-30, it only gains 5%, just like Assaulter.

I'm no Shadower expert, but the damage boost from 21-30 BS is roughly twice as much as what you'd get from 0-9 MW. However, raising BS only affects BS, while MW boosts all attacks.

Which is better overall depends on how much of your damage output comes from BS when you're training as opposed to other attacks. I'd think MW is probably better, but I dunno.

My training style is fairly Bstep heavy. Its my primary damage dealer, really, other things are chained in between, yeah, but my damage overall is my main concern. But im always soloing, well, 99% of the time.

I think that 90% extra damage per monster is better than having some more Luk, especially when that extra 90% is in your main attacking skill. From the damage ranges I know, we're talking about like a 3k increase in damage. Per monster. So 12k extra if it attacks the full 4 monsters.

Well, its 55% I think, not 90%, though im not entirely sure, and its not "some extra luk, MW would add a fair amount of LUK/DEX/STR for me that I could then (possibly) reset out, though im not sure yet. I got told 25 Bstep and then a bunch of venom would improve my DPS a lot by another Shadower, but why 25 Bstep? Seems like such an odd number.

This is getting complicated...

First heliocentric says that Bstep starts adding 5% from lvl21 on, and then c to the jx7 claims that is starts from lvl25... Confusion!

Reason for that odd 90% damage improvement I claimed:

From lvl21 on, Bstep starts adding 5%/lvl. So when it's maxed, it has 45% damage over lvl21 Bstep. Now, Bstep hits every monster twice, so 45%*2=90%

Am I making a mistake somewhere?

[SIZE="1"]LOL. Well you got it . Deal with it [: hahahaha. AND NO VENOM PLEASE.. When you start 2hkoing things you'll notice how much of a waste of sp it is. Keep it at 1. They should've made a new dagger mastery instead of venom.. Oh wells. I've had my venom at level 1 and it's staying that way for a long time. [/SIZE]

But i hear it massively helps your damage output in lower levels.

And knowing my leveling rate, I think it may be beneficial.

Okay Yosef, then where do I go after that, max Bstep and MW(19)?

As a rebuttal, I've only heard how venom DOESN'T help training, because it can't really do damage before you've killed the monster anyway.

This is true from what I can tell only in higher levels when you can kill mobs with just a Bstep>Taunt>Bstep pretty much, once you're killing that fast Venom doesnt have the time to do its full potential, but for casual levelers I'd say it appears to be good if you level slow, as it does a lot of damage helping you kill faster.


I've decided Im going to Max Bstep (once I pass Bstep 30 ._.) and then go for a few MW and some in assassinate, as ill probably get into bossing soon enough once leveling gets a lot harder.
