FanDit?
#1
So I'm close of buying a 94/5 Slot Fan. If I do, should I consider turning into a Fandit? It won't be that hard, I'll just wear a regular Zakum Helmet (+15 STR), Deputy Star (+5 STR), X/8 STR PAC (+8 STR), and of course some STR from the ATTK Shield (More than 2+ FoSho).

Is it worth being a FanDit? What's the AVG attack a FanDit's Fan has?

a 94/5 fan is worth maybe being a fandit until like 80. I remember MrLifeStyles was a fandit for a while, I think his fan was like 109/11 or something crazy though.

I had a friend who had a 159 (16x?) Fandit with a I think 118/21 fan or something along those linse. It was pretty damn hard for ANY shadower, dexless, low-dex, normal dex to outdmg him in any situation. Then again, he quit to make an I/L Arch mage.

That being said, if you can get a perfect weapon of any kind, it'd be worth it to go normal dex/low dex to use it I'd say.

I had a 106/16 fan not a 109 lol. Being a dexless bandit is awesome up until about lvl 100+. That's when the attack of higher lvl daggers will start to surpass the low requirements of a fan. LvL 120+ increases that even more with the dragon khanjar.

The shadower that jackk is talking about was extremely godly, but even with his 118/21 fan, my range is still almost 600 higher than his at the same level since I have more attack with my d khanjar. Also, I actually made use of all the stats that a HT pendant and zakum helmet gave you, whereas a dexless bandit won't use them. On his defense though, he didnt have a HT pendant, but it wouldn't really matter since it would have only given him like 200 range.

Start out dexless, and convert later. That's the best path for a bandit to remain strong through the entire level range.

Rusty, did you consider the fact that he had a 20/10 shield into the equation or were you just comparing his fan to your dagger + khanjar? Also, he does have a pendant but just never got an egg for it because he quit it for his ILAM. That being said, I agree with you: It's best to convert later on as you wont be able to optimize all the stats from it.

Like people are saying, go dexless/fandit, but convert later. I went dexless until 120 on my shadower, and with the stats you would waste being dexless (zhelm, pendant, shield, shoe, etc, stats), but can use going str or luck, its worth it to convert eventually, but definately go dexless earlier on.
