Riot's suppressing the information on their forums.

I heard it came from the Chinese.
#3
they suppress info relating to hacks as much as possible, not bugs

EDIT:
oh apparently it IS a bug, after lurking gd a while i find out you can do this by deleting some folder somewhere.
riots permabanning people who do that. not just the ones who actually abuse it, very nice response.
#4
Yeah, that's why I called it a "bug", not a bug. The in-game notice calls it a bug.

EDIT : Taiwan's version fixed it, they say
#5
All I have to say for this is...da fuq.

Though I do have to admit, it was funny at times. xD
#6
lmao when he was flashing round the janna and she had to flash away from him
#7
ranked q's back up, its fixed

Both have similar results in this case, and Riot doesn't want people to do da mods that do anything that destroys the game
#9
Did this fix also address dcing from games if someone spectates you, or does riot not know about that one yet..

And people said LoL couldn't get hacked. JOKES ON THEM!

Also, after reading about it on Reddit, apparently the hack was so simple, you could pull this stuff off in 5 minutes tops after doing a little research.

Yeah well hacks in LoL get patched within a couple hours at least.

Tamat goes on smackdown mode about the exploit (Pendragon 2.0?)

Quote:Summoners,

If you've been playing online games for any length of time, you probably know that most games eventually has to deal with scum of the earth cheaters that enjoy ruining your experience. League of Legends is one of the largest games on the planet, and the downside is that there are more people actively working to find exploits that create an unfair advantage for other players.

That's bull****, and we're not going to allow it.

We take this seriously.Nothing is more important to us than the sanctity of competitive play. As soon as we discovered the issue, we immediately dropped everything to find both immediate and permanent fixes. I'm happy to report that the immediate fix has been implemented, and we'll be restarting all regions this evening to add some redundancy which prevent similar exploits in the future.

Is this the end of people trying to ruin your experience? No. But we're committed to stopping this kind of behavior in it's tracks, and are discussing ways to increase our monitoring and development as part of that commitment. We've traced use of this exploit back to 622 players in North America and Europe. All of which have been permaforever banned.

This kind of stuff is unacceptable, and will never be tolerated by Riot Games. For those of you who have been reporting the issue, thank you! We've been deleting all threads about it in the forums to keep visibility low, but we've definitely appreciated you making us aware.

That's why it went on for MONTHS in the Chinese and Taiwan servers, right?

This hack even dated back to March, 2012.

Considering that the "Chinese Overlords" are lazy scumbags in the first place (I have yet to hear of an honest one), and that the main devs are HQ'd in California, I'd say that's a fairly short response time. Otherwise, a week is too long of a wait.

Also, not a hack. AFAWK.
#15
It wasn't really a hack.

More of an oversight on not capping summoner skill CDR.

Eh, you had to use CheatEngine to modify the memory addresses client side. I'd call that a "Hack" IMO.

I'm surprised something this simple could make it through considering you can do the same stuff on flash games, and those only took one YT video to figure out how to do.

This is some OLD SKOOL MAPLE lol.

That's one way to do it, but I'm surprised not more people have done it if that is actually possible.

Fine, hours of them being realized to be there in the NA and EU servers.

THEORYCRAFTING TIME.

I think I would've preferred perma flash + exhaust IMO. Either that or perma flash and perma heal.

Flash & Heal. Go anywhere, live through anything.
