+attack lines on a weapon and lucky seven calculation.
#1
I was browsing through formula threads and wondering how a rare weapon's modifiers factor into the lucky star calculation.

So far, this is the understanding that I have for the lucky seven calculation :

1.80*(4 * LUK + DEX) * (Weapon Attack / 100)

where weapon attack is sum addition of all +atk modifiers you have on your equipment.

Following this logic, if a claw had something like :

weap atk : 30

and plus three lines that read :

attk : +5
attk : +5
luk : +2

then the weapon is essentially the same as weap atk : 40.

Is this line of thinking correct? Please help clarify this issue for me.

Thank you in advance

The formula that you just put...
it's a NL's damage formula for regular skills (non-L7).
L7 doesn't take weapon attack into account at ALL, last time I checked. Just based on Luk.

Then what's the point of throwing stars having attack?
Lucky seven uses its own mastery formula.

that's completely wrong, L7 and TT both uses weapon attack in it's formula, just not the same as the regular attack formula.

Okay TT definitely now uses the same formula. L7 is the only weird one.
MuscleWizard Huh. Well there you have it. Only 1st job skill ever besides SSK that has any use past 1st job.

TT doesn't use the same formula lol, both l7/tt relies on weapon attack and a seperate formula from the normal attack formula. Even go ask a nl to use l7 with a garnier and his regular claw lol.
