Justice Shadower revamp - which skills get turned into which?
#1
We all know that Shadowers are getting some skills deleted (Taunt, etc.)

What I'm wondering, and this has been bugging me as well as other jajaja'ers in the Basil Shad forums, is if we leveled, say, Ninja Ambush up to 30, would NA get transformed into a separate skill but has a mastery level of 30? Or will it be like the Chaos DB Phantom Blow fiasco, where we have to use the mastery book again?

If the answer to the first question is yes, then exactly what skills get turned into what?

1. Phantom blow was a skill book. Shadowers have no skill books.
2. Yes, mastey level carries over.

If the skill you leveled is deleted, like Ninja Ambush, then you get the amount of SP you used back and you have to use the new skill's mastery book.

However, if you save your mastery books for deleted skills, you can trade them in for any new skill for your class via maple admin.

That doesn't make sense though, previous skill revamps transferred passed masteries from deleted skills to new ones.
Like... an F/P's FD got 'deleted'(moved to 3rd), and Mist Eruption was added. I had FD20 passed on my first F/P, when Ascension went live, I had an Eruption mastery of 20.
Or bowmen/warriors who passed certain skills pre-Ascension in anticipation for their replacements, Achilles and crap got their masteries transferred to the new skills.

It'd be stupid if that didn't happen for Justice, imagine being level 200, all books passed, then BAM, you need to throw more meso away to re-pass books?

It is all about the skill ID. If the skill ID is deleted, you get a refund in points, if the new skill have the same ID as the old you keep points and mastery.

Why would they(the skill IDs) actually be deleted this time when it apparently hasn't happened before? o_O

Can't speak for Ninja Ambush but NLs get to keep Taunt (lol), so they would probably be creating a whole new ID for whichever skill is replacing it.

Dark Impale and Achilles don't share the same skill ID, but the mastery from Achilles passed over to Dark Impale, since they decided to do that. None of the new skills share a skill ID with a previous skill, except Fists of Fury/Fist Enrage, which has the same ID as Barrage, they might pull an Achilles->Dark Impale, but I wouldn't know if they did or not in kMS.

Says the person posting irrelevant meme. Hugs and kisses everyone, hugs and kisses. And rainbows. Biggrin

So, the definite answer is "No, but it makes no sense"?
