Crimson Balrogs spawn rate

The Level 80 Charm quest requires me to find a drop called "Sunny's Gloves" from Crimson Balrog.
Well I've ridden the Orbis ship 15 times and it hasn't spawned once.
Am I just being unlucky or is there a designated spawn time for them?

Way back when, it used to be something like 25% chance of it spawning on a ride.
Are you going orbis -> vic or vic -> orbis?

I have heard issues with them not spawning though. << Wouldnt surprise me if Nexon fucked it up.

First 5 or so I was going vic -> orbis and relogging but that wasn't working and seemed counterproductive so I switched to vic -> orbis -> vic and it still wasn't working. *shrug*

I can't recall the last time someone ran into a crimson balrog.

I thought I read it wasn't spawning at all anymore? Think I read that on sp a few months ago. I haven't seen one since Ascension.

It's not unlikely for it to be broken lol.
I'll try again tomorrow while working on homework and see what happens though.

Friend and I probably took 50+ boat rides trying for the card and never found one.

Pretty sure it doesn't go on orbis boat anymore.

It used to be quite long - 10 or 15 minutes maybe, and the Balrog ship didn't come around until a few minutes into the trip.
Maybe the trip is over before the time when the balrogs used to appear.

The ride is 5 minutes. The take-off time is every 15 minutes. The only thing that changed was the ride shortening down to 5 minutes.

Not sure exactly when crog is supposed to spawn as I just memorized when the bgm would cut off. It's roughly 60 seconds.

As far as I can remember it always used to be:

20% Chance of the ship + Balrogs spawning. (Could have been 30% instead)
70% Chance of no spawn at all. (And this would be 60% then if the above one was 30%)
10% Chance of spawning only the ship.

Huh, never noticed he had his own monster card. Guess I'll spend some time today looking for CRog as well.

May not be relevant to ur interests but may be useful if crog arent killed they will 100% not spawn next ship

Another reason I think it might not be there anymore is because crog isn't part of any sets even though it has its own card. If i'm not mistaken, it used to belong to a set.

@Bryan: There are a lot of things wrong with that SS that makes me not believe it to be true.

Even if that SS is untampered, it's not recent enough to prove anything. The stupid "mini smega" line above the chat box is missing. Not to mention he could have gotten the card at any time before that SS was taken.

Crimson Balrog is level 100, and that guy is only level 50, pretty sure you need to be within 15 or so levels of a monster in order to get the card. You've got to be closer than 50 levels apart at least.
