SOPA Creator isn't done

Apparently, he wants to try to pass a new bill that allows the government to record EVERYTHING that you purchase online and keep records of it for 12-18 months. His reasoning is that he wants to try to prevent child pornography. How does keeping record of everyone's online purchases prevent child porn?

Who the hell let this guy into office? As soon as his term is up, he won't be getting back in.

edit: You know, after actually reading the bill, it does not seem that retarded. The bill is asking to keep logs of the IPs (probably for the identification of the equipment-> individual?) (I thought they were already able to do that). Putting 1 and 1 together, it seems like the problems lies in the fact that the logs happens to contain some other bits of information (?). I'm assuming here though.

This isn't about child pornography or pedophiles at all. It just means that Lamar is a huge part of the political deadlock problem in congress. The general strategy here is that if you oppose this bill then you are for pedophiles buying child pornography on the internet.

Its what i have been saying for a while, Bills should be outright banned from having such controversial names that will only missdirect people from the contents of the bills, simply because opposing a "Anti-Pedophile" bill its Bad publicity. Its fucking retarded.

I consider I'd have to make a strong case why this has little-to-nothing to do with the methods CP dealers use. Then go a step further to prove that this guy uses the name to pass it to basically manipulate you, the common american people's, emotions for his own success. Well, to be clear, this bill has been in the works since May. But because of SOPA, people are now being more vigilant searching for infringements on their rights (or perceived rights) which is how this got dug up.
