kMS client virus?
#1
I hope someone can help me with this one.
My Avira detects a virus in my MapleStory.exe for kMS, and MapleStoryT.exe for my kMST client (yes, I'm in, Phantom cool etc).
Avira calls it "TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen", but online scanner calls it "Mapler". Here are the results of online scanner :
MapleStory.exe http://virusscan.jotti.org/pl/scanresult...be8b8dbe1c
MapleStoryT.exe http://virusscan.jotti.org/pl/scanresult...77d61069ab

So, is this a false positive? If not, how can I get rid of this? And how does it infected these files? I just downloaded newest kMS client from official site, so that's wierd for me.

TrueCrypt is indeed a false positive. Smile

The reason it gets flagged, is because many crackers use it to pack their keygens with, and many mallware maker lowlifes infect keygens with virusses, and start hosting "cracker tool" sites, so people download malware from their sites while trying to search for keygens, etc, etc...

That's why TueCrypt comes up in many virus scanners
