Going on HT run questions

HT has a squad limit of 30 people, meaning 30 people can HT at any given time. However, it's been glitched for however long that once 30 people actually enter HT, no one besides those first thirty can HT again. The catch there being that one person can take multiple slots in the sign-up, and once the list is full you can only solo.

The procedure for entering a Horntail run goes like this:
1) Complete the "Medicine for Transformation" quest from Moira. This will turn you into a Cornian, and also give you a Horntail ticket that expires in one day. Jump down to the lower platform on Moira's map, and the Cornian NPC there will warp you into the outer part of the cave. 2) From this outer part you can get into the inner one in one of two ways. The first is to do HTPQ, which involves getting six people and doing a short PQ. The second is going in a party led by someone who has a Certificate of the Dragon Squad, which allows him to speak to an NPC to warp the entire party directly to the inner lobby. 3) In the inner lobby is an NPC that functions much like the guy in the Entrance to Zakum Altar. First the expedition leader speaks to him and gets warped into Horntail's Cave, then each squad member can speak to him and get warped in as well. The room you're warped into is where Horntail begins to spawn, fake head first. You "sign up", meaning get on the list of 30, only at that last point, when you are warped into the first fake head room. If the list is already full and you talk to that NPC outside, you get disconnected instead of warped in. There is not much point getting in and not fighting HT, unless you plan to solo it later in the week. All being on the list does for you is allow you to solo. If you want to run with your friends, you must all enter together, summon and fight, before the list is full. Hope that helps.

Note that there's a separate list for each channel, but people often go in once on both channel when they do their runs, so usually each channel's list is filled up by the same people.

You could always find someone to tag along with. Paladins work great as seduce mules.

Also keep in mind that if you want loots to drop, make sure you get the drop conditions right.

HT is ridiculously hard to get into, and even if you do, there are anti-bot measures that keep you from getting drops if you kill in less than...not sure... 45 minutes?

Yea you do need 6 people in there to enter HTPQ. This is the same PQ bishops need to do to get genesis btw. If you didn't have the certificate and you entered alone you won't be able to enter to the sign up place (cave entrance).

happylight Wrote:No the certificate you get from getting zak, pianus, pap certificates plus the 3 certificates from HTPQ. i'll take your time and ask, how are these three certificates gotten, i could have sworn you had to beat HT for at least one of them, or that the exped glitch blocked you from getting one of the marks. if it's possible to get it without the glitch annoying you, then i guess i'll get my guild and do it then.

You get the 3 badges (a b c) from mobs inside the HTPQ.
You get the Zak, Pianus, and Pap certificates by beating those 3 bosses.

And btw, Bishops no longer need to HTPQ to get Genesis, so you really have to organize one on your own if you want the three certificates that drop in there.
