Booting up problems.
#1
I have this desktop computer that I cleaned today (by blowing all the dust out of it) after hooking it all back up and turning it on the power up button is orange instead of the normal green and the computer will not boot up.

I wasn't having any problems at all with it before I cleaned it.

You sure everything is hooked up properly?

I can't really tell what the light means, since the light means something different on different models.
#3
Yeah, everything is hooked up fine. When I try to turn it on it sounds like it normally does when I start it with the fan running and beeping, but the light is orange and it doesn't display anything on the monitor.

Brown lights typically indicate something is up with the CPU.

How did you clean it? Vacuum? What did you disconnect? How many beeps are you getting? What's the model/make of your computer?

Providing as much information as possible in your first post is crucial in getting useful responses and decrease troubleshooting time.

orange instead of green, are you talking about the monitor light? it's orange because there's no video signal.

Check if your vid card is installed properly, and if the video cable is hooked up properly.

does your computer make a "BIP" after you turn it on? (I assume your CPU speaker is plugged into your MB)

No.

XTOTHEL Wrote:What did you disconnect?

Power cord, monitor cord, keyboard, mouse, usb cord, etc.

XTOTHEL Wrote:What's the model/make of your computer?

It is custom built so that is a hard question to answer.

The power up button on the computer itself.

Anyway, I figured out the problem. Thanks for the help anyway.
