Hello,
It's been a week and I cannot play MS because whenever I want to, the screen does nothing. It stays there like if I didn't double click MS. Then, after like 30 seconds, my computer starts slowing down and I have to restart.
Vista x64 Ultimate.
4GB RAM
8800 GT 512MB
Drivers up to date.
Help please.

Possibly graphics problem.
Start >> Programs >> Nexon >> MapleStory >> MapleStory Setup
You do the "Press CTRL + H if you can see this" thing.

I had this problem once, except it was after I clicked the blue play button... I think killing GameGuard then rebooting Maple worked...
First, press ctrl+alt+del and see if when you open it the MapleStory.exe process comes up. If it does, hold alt and press tab, see if it the logo comes on the panel there - if it does, highlight over it, let go, and see what happens. If neither works, try...
-Restarting your comp
-ReDLing the manual patcher and see if that was the issue
-Clicking it, ctrl+alt+del->ending the process, click it again
-If you have multiple monitors, try switching your primary monitor
-Last hope could be a system restore out to a day when it worked. Might have to update the client though.
If the process doesn't come up, try...
-Opening Maple from the Start menu
-Opening it from the C:/Program Files/ menu.

IIRC Vista Ultimate 32 bit supports up to 3 GB of Ram, you, obliviously, have 4 GB. Either meaning you have just too much ram, or more logically, you have the 64-bit version. Don't know about the 64-bit version and compatibility things and such, but you might/should try installing MS in administrative mode. Also you might contact Nexon about this? xD

I have Vista Ultimate x64... and I've been running MS with no problems for the past month and a half.

holy mother of god, I've seen this type of crap so many times. 32 bit operating systems support up to 4 GB of ram. That's why they're called faking 32 bit systems. Only about 3GB show up because other system devices (ie your video card) uses some of the addresses too.

[ignores random mumbo-jumbo about 64-bit memory or... um... yeah]
Have you recently (possibly automatically) updated either DirectX or your graphics card drivers? You might try rolling those back if so.
I guess it would be worth checking to see if some settings changed somehow. Although I have a 64-bit laptop, it only came with 32-bit Vista so I don't have the same environment as you. Various things I can think about vaguely, such as processor affinity, data execution prevention, etc. could be worth fiddling with, but I'd start by concentrating on what could have changed about your system shortly before Maple stopped working.

It woudln't be a problem with any DirectX or graphic drivers. It's got to do with MSssss(32bit) application running in a 64 bit environment. Vista 64bit can emulate 32bit and people are able to run MS in vista x64.
Vista x64 does come with a 32 and 64 bit version of IE. Flash plugin is only available in the 32bit version of IE. Have you tried either uninstalling the 64bit version of IE or setting the 32bit IE as default? The splash page for MS uses IE and Flash to display all that junk... maybe something's wrong there.

How do I set the 32bit IE as default?

check to see if it is the default browser under Tools > Internet Options?
Also, make sure your maple folder is under C > Program Files(x86) :S... I had x64 but that was long time ago.

There's one thing you can do, save your important stuff and reformat, and reinstall vista. That should fix the problem.

Reinstall Vista? I hate when I do it as I have to spend ~5 hours installing, configuring, setting up my iTunes library again. *cuts*
