I have Comodo right now and I swear to god it spends half its life arguing with what I want to do on my laptop. Are there any better/good alternatives?

AVG crashes my comp all the time when I have it on. Then it gives you a fake virus to make you upgrade it.

Avast checks all incoming and outgoing connections and warns you if a site is deadly. Doesn't windows firewall pretty much allow/disallow incoming or outgoing connections?
