That's like saying LoL will give you the same game experience as DotA, they're not really compareable besides the objective, the metagame in all 3 games is very different.

Also in HoN you have ALL heroes unlocked at once, in hon you'll have to buy them or use a pomegranate ton of time on unlocking just half.
I'm not saying LoLs method is bad though, there are pros and cons to both.

It's like saying mapelstory is free, sure it's 'free' but paying surely gets you ahead fast. Where a game like starcraft is one time payment and then you have everything.

Honcast is the only people allowed to cast live-tournaments and they add a 5-minute delay to the stream, so lame.

Riot casts live-tournaments as well and they have a 4-7min delay. It makes sense in a technical standpoint due to "Outside Coaching".

Yes but riot doesnt ban live-casting, due to S2 pro players can't live-cast unless they add a delay or cover the minimap, which makes it frustrating to watch their stream. :/

S2 are far from as bad as nexon but at some points they're frustrating, and balancing of heroes takes forever since pros perma ban new heroes for a while before picking them up in tournaments and S2 balance heroes from what they see in pro-level games.
Though lately all released heroes have been balanced from the start, kinda weird but still nice.

HoN is only an "updated version" in terms of specs. It's prettier and it's not running on the now-ancient WC3 engine. DotA still receives regular updates and in my opinion, it has evolved further mechanically than HoN has.

Seriously. I could care less. I like LoL Cause I have irl friend and I have SP friends that play it daily. So I'm satisfied.

What? They have changed mechanics and the way certain heroes works, they have implemented skills and things that could never exist in the WC3 engine. It's much more than just a prettier copy of DotA, it's a somewhat different game.

Idk why you can call LoL a free game when you actually have to play a lot or pay a lot to get the new champions, its like playing wow w/o the the lich king pack or cataclysm. Hon cost 20 dollars (10 dollar for now) and you basicly got everything but in game material like hero skins, new announcer packs etc etc but it doesnt change the gameplay at all. And I care more for the competitive scene in hon than the public scene, but I've noticed that LoL struggle in the same way as hon. New heroes are never picked up because they are either 1. Useless for team synergy or 2. Just way too op and is banned the entire tournament. But theres 2 things I cant stand about LoL which is there is no denies and you can have duplicated heroes in all matches. To me the deny factor plays a big role in the laning phase because if you had someone like plague rider who could deny creeps in LoL the lane would be pushed in his favor constantly.

Edit: If LoL want the game to end faster since theres no denies, make the creeps grow faster and remove respawn barracks system.

The game is free, because you have the OPTION to spend money on the game or not, it's entirely OPTIONAL. It's the same concept for Nexon games. You have the OPTION to spend money on NX, but that doesn't mean the game isn't "Free to Play" all of a sudden, especially when you can enjoy the game to the fullest without having to spend a penny.

Neither does spending money to buy LoL's champions. You can't buy runes for money, only in-game points. Having access to more champions than everyone else doesn't make you better / more skilled.

You can't have duplicate heroes in "ranked" / tourney play.
All "Denying" does is make you click twice as much in the game. How is that a better system? Make the most boring aspect of MOBA games even more boring / tedious?
