Getting Mining to level 7?

Is it really worth getting Mining to level 7 for the pickaxe? I browsed the extractions and found this as the possible reward;

Golden Pickaxe
Pickaxe - All Classes
Description: A golden pickaxe used for harvesting minerals.
Durability: 500
Can't repair



Cole's Golden Pickaxe
Pickaxe - All Classes
Description:Cole's golden pickaxe used for harvesting minerals. It is stronger than normal golden pickaxes.
Durability: 600
Untradeable
Cannot resell to merchants
Can't repair

Knowing that you cannot repair them in any way, they will be useless after the durability is gone. Would it be better just to level up crafting instead of trying to get one of these pickaxes?


EDIT: I just checked my questlog and you indeed get the Cole's Golden Pickaxe. Here's a screenshot of it;



The bag underneath it says that it can hold four slots of minerals. The current one does, too. Does anyone know if these two bags stack?

The Artisans event rewards seem pathetic compared to what KMS players could get for their event.

To answer the question; certainly not worth levelling for the reward in my opinion. The only reason to level mining is to make it easier to get ores and plates, so there seems to be no urgency to level it once you have level 3.

So by leveling up our professions, we get a special mining/harvesting tool that breaks and can't be repaired, a recipe that isn't all that special, a potion that has a lying description and can only be used once, and a pouch.

So basically the only thing worth getting is the pouch and everything else is crap. What an amazing event....

Does the pouch do anything besides adding 3 slots? If you put any value on your time it might be better to just go to cash shop and buy 8 slots for 6k (or whatever it is).

I didnt know pickaxes had durability...
I've been using the same one for a while now.
I also noticed you can mine while in Dark Sight.

Only those do, the basic one you can buy from Nack doesn't.

Cant be repaired? How such bullpomegranate. I'll only use my Golden Pickaxe/Shovel for Heartstone and The Golden Flower.

I can't find the numbers about durability. How many times can I use it till it's 0%?

Good thing I actually don't care about the mining event, and I have a mining mule as well as my Jeweler main. Considering making my Evan, who's an Alchemist now, into another mining mule...

Yeah, I tried harvesting the Golden Flower yesterday it boomed , it spat out like 8 Herb Roots :[ lol

Wow, here i am planning my time for reaching level 7 and it's not worth it, shame on me for not thinking of how bad nexon reams us in the backside.

You can get tradeable pouches with more slots from growing imps or buying them from players. That's even more worth it, actually.

Oooh, I didnt know there were tradeable pouches. I'll keep an eye out for them. Growing Imps is so tedious and they keep dying on me.
