Dear Maplers,

Many of you have been experiencing issues with being disconnected yesterday and today, most notablywhilein the Free Market. We are aware of this issue, and our developers are working to resolve it.

Thank you for your patience.

They're never really direct about it, are they?

I guess being direct would compromise their integrity, huh?

They've posted before that the cause of something was due directly to hacks before, but most of the time they beat around the bush. Seems pointless to do so though, when everyone already knows the cause.

Nothing new, considering just about every MMORPG does the EXACT same thing, just saying.

Not every MMO has hacks created with the sole purpose of disconnecting other users.
Maple is special like that. Cool

Oh well. At least they've noticed so they can attempt to stop the channel crashing for a week until either another exploit or hack ravages this game.

For their reputation, they have to avoid mentioning the "H-word" whenever possible...

At least they're finally acknowledging it instead of saying nothing about it for weeks/days on straight - like before.

I think this is a step up from their old-ways.

for their reputation, it will be 20 years after the game has died that they'll acknowledge they got hacked... ONLY ONCE.

also, guys, this is something interesting, maybe one of you might explain it to me.

for the whole day today, i have been playing, but the DC hack hasn't affected me at all, and i mean AT ALL, as in, i see the hacker sit, make a "thump" sound, and everyone but me and the hacker DC's, i had no hacking tools of any kind.

however, a few mins ago, i had to reboot my PC, and now i am finally crashing due to the hack, the only difference, is that before, my adobe flash plugin had crashed before the hacking spree began, and now it's working properly, could the crashed adobe be the reason why i didn't DC?

been trying to crash it again, to no avail, and disabling flash still gets me DC'd.

got told that alt-tabbing from full mode prevents you from dcing, gotta try it... but then again, there's no way to know if a dc hacker passed around or not. and i can't freaking crash my flash now, and am getting dc'd every few mins.

From what I read on another website, the map crash is related to a skill animation, and when the client tries to read that animation, the client crashes. Not sure how that may or may not relate to your flash plugin crashing as I would think Maple has a self sufficient system of plugins.

apparently if you've been in the same spot for over three hours the crash doesn't affect you . . . the same thing was happening to me so I looked into it
