Pie vs. Cake area takeovers

Controlling the town grants your faction a discount on many Use items sold in the town’s general store, and it grants your faction 10% bonus EXP when defeating monsters in the region of the controlled town.

It's a bit misleading, as someone in my alliance confirmed that the 10% bonus EXP applies... to the entire continent. Right now at the time of this post, Pie side has taken over Henesys in Windia, so therefore everyone in the Pie side gets the bonus from any mob in Vic.

If this really turns out to be the case for the other 3 towns, wouldn't Orbis be highly contested since LHC is part of the region Orbis resides in? I mean... LHC party bonus + 10% bonus exp = profit?

Wouldn't it be worth more to grind during the time it'd take to fight to get the 10% bonus?

If it were 200% or 400% I could see it being contested and heavily worth it, but for something that tiny seems worth more effort than gain.

the battle lasts literally no more than 15 seconds. i lag when i go in so i just hold down hurricane button and when i unlag the battles over. this is one of the stupidest events yet. cake battles that were lag fests and took like 10min were much funner

That's still interrupting whereever you were at to go back to town for a waste of time to go back.
Spending more time in transit than actually doing the event really just makes it worse :/

Which battle? The boss battle or the area battle? The boss battle ended so quickly for me (but doesn't result in anything that's worth mentioning), while the area battle took the entire time limit for me.

And I only lagged getting into the waiting area for the area battle. My connection was fine afterwards.

i was referring to the boss battles, but i forgot those aren't the ones that give pie/cake area takeovers. in which case, yes eos, they are a waste of time when you could just train instead of going there and wasting 5min inside.

The effect does last a while for as long as a town is taken. I forgot if it was for an hour or 3 hours.

But yeah... there is the transit issue...

Do cakes and pies drop at LHC at all?
If they don't then you have to waste more time finding some to donate, or you won't get any insignia even if you do battle.
(Of course if you're only battling for the 10% exp that doesn't matter)

They drop often, do the amount of insignias you get determine on how many Cake/Pie you turn in? Because I heard you can just turn in 1 and get Insignias.

And nice to hear they drop there. Sunshines and Maple Leaves don't, which is why I thought Nexon forgot to add this area to the anniversary events.

Oops I meant they dropped often but idk if they drop for LHC monsters. Sorry I wasn't clear about that.

From observing a party in LHC, it seems the mobs there don't drop them.

It's definitely not the same as last year. Last year you had to donate at least 1 to get any insignia. This year you don't have to donate any.

But the subsequential increase is still the same as last year. You still have to turn in 201+ to get the full 5 or 10 insignia amount per battle.

6 is the lowest number you can get if you win (1 if you lose), he means turn in 201+ for 5 (6?) if you lose or 10 if you win.

A bit of a warning for you guys: The Pie VS Cake takeover battle invitation does not appear to carry over to other channels like the Ani invitation does. That means CCing right as the invitation is sent to you will cause you to lose the quest bubble, meaning that you cannot participate in the battle. I just lost 10 insignia because of this. -_-
