My thoughts exactly.. although I wouldn't be surprised if they were adding Chaos patch data in this one.

I smell an encryption change. I've never, ever seen a patch this big!

they were pretty clear on the intent to cram as much into each patch as possible. This is supposed to last us till Septemberish.

So in theory, it should have everything before Jump!? I'd assume if they were gonna put out more exclusive content, they wouldn't just toss it in with everything else like this...

This patching method has only lead to a lot of exploits, glitches, hacks, and the such...

If that's the case, then this patch should contain most of Chaos, which could be understandable.

More like.. everything pre-jump.

The patching method has nothing to do with that.
The fact the game client tells the game server what's going on instead of the other way around is what is responsible for the hacks, glitches and similar crap. How they deliver the patches and when they deliver the patches have absolutely no bearing on the fundamental flaws of the game itself.

I really don't see how this could be 664 MB.
Meisterville + Profession system
Future Ereve/Henesys
Hero + DB changes
PvP
Monster park
Jump Warrior + Mage changes (assuming only those because bowman isn't officially out)

Yea, I don't see how this could be that big.

Damn, this patch is huge. It's going to suck for people with slow download speeds.

That's very weird. Nexon switched from lighty to Apache as their patch distribution server? I wonder what prompted the change.

Maybe masteria expansion or cotent from that event that we had long time ago or VPQ revamp, i don't know but 650mb isn't logical to me

I'd guess Nexon-level.

LOL. NO WONDER WHY THE PATCH FILE IS SO BIG.

Nexon fails. I mean... really. Fails. It's beyond failure.

They included a file called Mob2.wz - completely NEW FILE. It's 680 MB which is zlib compressed at level 9. This means that the patch is over 300 - 400 MB higher than it needs to be.

Oh gosh. That's me, out of university and back to the basic download speeds now. I'm definitely reticent to download this because in the past I remember second and sometimes third editions of the same patch wasting my time and instilling a backup Maplestory folder for all patches.
