I think you all know about Tae roon. You saw his image several times... Look at it again:



Had a good look? Well, did you notice... HE HAS NO FEET? In ANY of his walking/attacking animations, he has a glimpse of feet.

Why is he like that? His feet got cut off as a child? Maybe that's why so pissed? Maybe he has REALLY SMALL FEET, and they are covered by their own skin?

This is disturbing indeed... but the most disturbing thing is... that he drops... BEAR FEET.

And this was all for today.

Keep looking into his eyes... they'll eat your soul if you stay long enough.

He sacrificed his own feet to give us what we need for a quest? :f6:

[SIZE="5"]#2 The pig paradox[/SIZE]



Everyone knows these happy fellows. The run around freely around Maplestory, but... nobody ever thought that they in fact hide an unknown secret... UNTIL TODAY.

You probably killed more than one before *cough*murderer*cough*, and you got a pig head drop from them...

WHAT'S THE FREAKING MATTER? WHAT ABOUT THE ONES THAT DON'T DROP IT? THOSE DON'T HAVE A HEAD?

Seriously, this reaction of matter simply dissapearing could collapse all the universe! Think twice before killing them. BUT THERE'S AN EVEN WORSE MATTER.



THOSE ONES. Those will NEVER drop a pig head. Yet they still seem to have before dying...

What are the spells behind them? What is their true meaning? Are their heads sometimes a hollow mask? If that's the case... How could they survive without a head? Are they zombies? And if that's the case... how will they eat the brains they need? They wouldn't have a mouth...

I'll leave you all thinking into this SERIOUS matter.

well i kill snails all the time, but it seems only half of them have shells.

Nah, it's just that, most of the time, when you kill pigs, you kill them so gruesomely that their heads splatter all over (you can't see the remains since the Maple Cleansing God is so quick to act). However, sometimes you can preserve their heads, which lets you pick them up. Ribbon pigs never drop heads because their ribbon has a secret mechanism that prevents it.

[SIZE="5"]#3 The hermit's flaw[/SIZE]

The hermit. The classical single target killing machine. Let's have a look at their weapons. THE CLAWS.

Lv 10. Garnier.
The design is simple. It's simply a glove that helps grabbing stars with a bit of additional friction. Perfect for fast attacks.

Lv 20. The Igor.
OK, the claw is getting bigger, and because of that, heavier. it helps to punch now. HOWEVER, you seem to still be a weakling while punching, and throw stars like a garnier, ONLY WITH MORE STRENGTH. How is that even POSSIBLE? I mean, you have to lift a METAL GLOVE, and THROW STUFF AT RIDICULOUS SPEEDS!

Lv 40. The Avarice.
Same as above. Can't even think how a knight-like glove can help at throwing stuff.

Lv 70. The Scarab.
Being a favourite among hermits... Well... HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO GRAB ANYTHING WITH THAT!? Let alone launching it! It looks more like a sock with blades on the end, but not something that will help you throw stuff! I mean, if you store your stars in your pockets, your pants are going to become DUST.

BUT SHOCKINGLY! WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE OFF THIS ANNOYING CLAWS?

Well...

YOU CAN'T EVEN ATTACK! Apparently, you can't throw anything without a glove. WHY IS THAT? Pirates can still punch you in the face without a weapon. WHY WOULDN'T YOU? Not even throwing a ninja star...

Think about it.

Eh, according to the description on the Kuma claw, they're projectile launchers, so you wouldn't be directly holding the stars in your hand, but rather blasting them out. Pretty sure you could extend this logic to most higher level claws.

Besides, would you really wanna try to throw huge-ass Ilbi and Hwabi without any sort of protection? You'd be slicing your hands to shreds. :p

The only point failing is that crossbows or guns do that already. It'd be like if Megaman played maple, but... throwing stars. I'll take that description, but try to launch something with a metal glove. It's hard, I can tell you.

Maybe they're springs in the claw?
