Premium Cubes, Weapons and PDR Ignore Potential
#1
For some reason, the new premium cubes seem to give an awful lot of 15% PDR ignore potentials. I don't have proof for my VIP Crossbow, but when I cubed it to 3 line, I got 15% PDR Ignore like 15 times out of 51 cubes. Now I just premium cubed my VIP Gun ONCE (+30% boss, 12% Total Dmg):

Has the rate of occurrence of potentials been shifted? I don't remember every encountering so many 15% PDR in the past when putting hundreds of cubes on my VIP gun and concerto.

Also, a friend of mine has gotten 30% PDR, 15% PDR, 15% PDR all on one claw today.

Even more instances of this new phenomenon:

Well if each potential stat has an inherent probability instead of all unique stats being identical, then it could make sense if premium cubes only chose between a certain subset of potentials.

But I guess the only way to prove that would be if someone used tons of premium cubes without obtaining some of the usually more common potentials. Though it'd be pretty hard, since I really doubt people would continue cubing using these after they obtained their 3 lines.

Yeah, I'm starting to think Premium Cubes have a higher chance of making items become Epic/Unique with something more useful too.

been thinking the same thing, but i haven't cubed any weapons, so i can't speak for myself, who knows, maybe i'll cube my machlear eventually

1st Premium on my rare 3 line ST got 15% boss.
Got an unique arcglaive and jesus cubed it once, then regular cubed it 9 times. 7 of those 9 times had either 15% ignore, 30% ignore, or both on them. 20% boss and 30% boss popped up once each.

FOR SCIENCE(17 cubes used 8/17 had Ignore %):

Okay guys... I know I'm noob...

But is this good or bad?

(p.s. - I also thought these new cubes only worked on "rare" items... i.e. Not epic or unique)

That's just the messed up description on them. Personally I think this is a bad thing as it decreases the chances of getting better stats (% Boss, % Total Damage.) I'm interested to see what effects it has on other gear. The only other items I cubed were masks and the only thing I somewhat saw repeating a lot was recover x hp every x seconds (From experience masks give these crappy stats all the time, so it's not anything concrete)

Hmm.... got this epic 2-line executioner I was thinking of making into a bossing sword... decided not to when I learned bossdmg doesn't work in LHC... but if the odds are that good...
So do you recommend 3-lining it first, or going to unique with regular cubes and then using the premium(s) to 3-line?

There is no actual evidence besides just alot of stories of it going epic/unigue from premium cubes
but I would reg cube it to epic 2 line
then pcube it till 3line

This pretty much confirms it.

% ignore is one of the best stats you can get on a weapon. Ideally, you'd want 30% boss, 30% ignore, 6% total dmg OR 6% atk. I'd say this is a godsend...

According to his post, his executioner is already epic 2-line. You're right in saying that there is no proof that premium cubes would guarantee you going from epic to unique though, and the sample size is rather small still on whether it has higher chances of doing so.

That being said, I would disagree with you and go the other direction: You're gonna have to get it to 3 lines anyways, so you might as well get that over with first. What if on the cube your sword turns unique, it has good stats? That would leave you with a dilemma of whether to premium cube over it, so just get the premium cubing out of the way, and then go regular in my opinion.

If it had good stats on both lines on the 1st cube it turns unigue on in ur example such as 30% boss/15% ignore that would be a dam good wep without rlly needing to have a 3rd line

Okay so either all these reports are a statistical anomaly, or this is legit...

All we can do is wait for more info.

I will go on the record as saying "I got fucked"
(but I always say that so it's no big thing)

It's situational when % ignore could be one of the best stats.

Bossing-wise it is the best for most characters. Let's say you are at Zakum which has a 40% PDR and you have 15% ignore.
W/ ignore: 100% damage - ( 40% x 0.85) = 66% dmg dealt
W/o ignore: 100%-(40%)=60% dmg dealt
66/60=1.1=10% dmg increase
This number goes up as PDR goes up and doubles if you had 30% instead of 15%.

Keep in mind this is for bossing and not training. If you wanted the best training weapon then it would probably be a mixture of % dmg, % main stat, and % atk

but what about classes like heroes that ignore a whopping 40% pdr on their own? or with attacks that ignore a good amount of pdr already? not even bringing DrK's to the table because they don't benefit from it almost at all, unless you are too scared to use sacrifice.

Mages also ignore a certain amount of defense (and DoTs ignore it completely), ignore PDR is not the best for everyone.

That should explain it better than mine.
Like I said, it applies for most classes.

Twice "ignore 15% pdr" stacks, right?
