Another user here had posted a thread asking about using a PS3 controller with Joy2Key, I would reply there but I can't post replies to threads that are more than 21 days old. I've been reading many "tutorials" that say you have to download some third party driver in order for the PS3 controller to be active, but I don't trust these software as they seem to mess with things and people have had difficulty fully removing them.
Can you just plug a PS3 controller into the PC (I'm using XP Pro 32bit) and Joy2Key know that it is there and be able to map the buttons? I had a crappy old Saitek P880 controller and when I hooked that up Joy2Key would recognize it, I ended up deleting the bundled mapping software because it was too process intensive whereas J2K is more trimmed down but still very functional.
Also, what kind of Blue tooth adapter will let my PC see the PS3 controller and how expensive is it?
