I seem to be IP blocked from Nexon.
#1
This happened once before and the problem fixed itself after like a day but now it happened again. Every other site loads fine but Nexon.net refuses to load. I get redirected to a 404 Not Found page. I can log in to the other regions' sites, and I managed to get on Nexon's site via Anonymouse.

I'm using a proxy now but not even that helped. I can use the site now but I can't log in.

What's going on? :|

EDIT: Okay, I managed to log in but this problem is still annoying. Hao 2 fix?

EDIT 2: ... nevermind, it won't let me stay on the game. I'm trying to get on DFO but once I select a server, it disconnects me. By the way, direct launching doesn't work either.

Sounds like one of those viruses that block your access to Nexon.net

What? I've heard of viruses blocking access to antivirus websites, but who would spend any time making a virus that blocks a gaming website? It sounds stupid, imo.

Back on topic, the only solution I can think of is waiting for you to have your IP refreshed, considering that you kinda have a dynamic IP address. And it just happens that today, you got the address that Nexon blocked. xd

Scans revealed nothing, so it's not a virus.

is your IP dynamic or static?

T'is dynamic. I'm worried changing it to static might mess something up, seeing as I have roommates using the same connection.

Meaning I guess best I can do is just wait it out... meh. That's great timing, seeing as I finally finished my finals and needed the break. :|

Dynamic IPs change.
Static IPs don't.

I know this, and I also figured that the IP I'm using now is one that Nexon doesn't like.

Changed the setting anyway and it still won't work. I'll have to call my ISP about this whenever I have time. :x

Ugh, this is stupid.

Contacted my ISP, I even had my IP address CHANGED. It still didn't work. It doesn't even work when I tried accessing it from another computer under the same connection.

Really, all that's left is for me to contact Nexon about it... *shudders*

"'flushdns' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

We did that anyway, for ipconfig. o_-

ipconfig / flushdns
ipconfig / displaydns
ipconfig / release [adapter name]

etc.

You tried those?

Exactly. Sorry for being lazy and posting almost nonsense. Locked's got it right.

Does Hotspot Shield still work for you in accessing the website and the game?

Also, I assume spyware/malware was checked too?

Yes and yes.

I'm at my roommate's house now, and the site loads fine. So I won't be able to try fixing this again until I get back home tomorrow night.

Once I can, I'll try the DNS flushing idea. :I
