If your teeth gets sore, eat a lot of ice cream. Have fun.

My friend had these rubber bands holding his braces together from the top/bottom teeth in the back.

And he would take them out when he ate with his bare dirty hands and he wouldn't accept any of my purelle or Wet Ones Hand Wipe clothes.

It made me sad because I'm kind of Germophobic.

My braces auto-click themself into place so I don't need to worry about rubber bands. I just need to bare through this FUCKING PAIN

It'll hurt like hell for a few days, and eating will be VERY awkward. Give it like 2 weeks and you'll get used to it. After that the pain'll go away and you should only feel pain after they get tightened every few weeks.
#13
The only awkward part I remember was that it hurt like hell the first day/night. If I hit my teeth together, a jolt of pain would shoot through my whole body. The pain also woke me up the first night.

Other than that, just eat like normal, taking care to avoid "hard" foods, or eating them carefully. (Like candy)

Be prepared to lose pounds. I know I did.
#15
I ate mashed potatoes/mac and cheese the 1st 5 days.
#16
Yeah I'm eating pasta right now by placing each little individual penne in the back of my throat and swallowing.

I'd eat mashed potatoes; it's easy to suck in. And take an advil once or twice for the next 5-7 days, it helps.

Already been said, but it bears repeating:

Advil and soft foods are your friends. Try to get them (and ice cream) as much as possible for the first few days.

This. Entirely.

I only had trouble the first night or three, and then I ate pretty much anything I damn well pleased. (aside from super hard pomegranate)

My brother had braces and said it was cool and pomegranate, but then he bitched and moaned cuz of not being able to eat food properly (hes kinda big)..
Not saying its not right to peach and moan, but he had it coming.
