Why hasnt nexon decided to make a Character Switch Button? :f6:
I know if you using website launch it kinda like that but its not, i want to have an option to change characters while i'm still in game without having to log out then re-log every time example putting stuff in storage and transferring it to another character is kinda annoying. Also not everyone uses website launcher, i personally use game launcher cause i'm on windows 7 Hothead

What do you think?

Well... You're gonna have to log off to switch into characters on multiple accounts. I feel like having two separate accounts is safer, and also more space efficient. (I'm assuming you're talking about mules here)

Most MMORPG's I have played have that feature, just not Maple.

Switching characters through game launcher takes 10 seconds at most. And that's if you have a pin longer than 6 digits.

I agree with this.

Since Nexon bans so many people for absolutely no reason at all, and for completely retarded reasons as well, you would be better off not having more than one char per account.

How does changing a character without having to type info again makes it easier for someone to hack?

I'm used to gamelauncher but this wouldn't hurt at all.

More easy? Once they get a hold of your characters, by being able to log into them, you're already done for anyways.

I must be doing something wrong then, because my 6+ character PIC takes a helluva lot longer than 10sec to get in.

You must waste a lot of time typing your password then. Tongue

Yeah, well I'm paranoid so maxed 16 digit PIN, and it's not even an easy PIN either. Capital letters here and there, and numbers too. ~30-40 seconds for me. >_>

It's a little bit safer that way.

It means if you are playing in a public place, or even in private but with other people around (your siblings? a visiting friend?), and leave the computer for a moment, the only character compromized is the one you're currently on. These other people can't switch to your other chars and clean off mules as well.

Furthermore, there used to be a hack that let the hacker hijack your server connection when you change channels. Again, in this case, the character you were playing on is in the hands of the hacker, but at least other characters on the account can't be touched if the hacker doesn't know your PIC.
Granted, Nexon should be working on preventing such security holes instead of burdening us with extra passwords, but at least it's something.

My PIC is 14 characters long with a mix of everything lol
I wish they'd allow us to TYPE our PIC out for once, instead of having to spam click just to get the certain characters.

Because they are busing making more awesum CS inventory so you give them your money.

Honestly? You're safe enough with just numbers over 6 digits. 14 character mixed pins is ridiculous and really doesn't make you THAT much safer than a shorter less time consuming code. If you're going to be hacked it's either going to be forced through methods out of your control, or if you're stupid enough to give the info away.

If they do any changes to the log in process, I'd rather them give me the option to change the order in which my characters show up.

It'd be nice, but not necessairy.

I assume if a hacker can get a hold of your 6-numbers pin they can also get your 6+ mixed pin.

May not be easier, but it'll be faster if they can switch between your chars without having to worry about logging out, leaving you no chance to intercept them.

If they set up character switch with a typable password (either your login or a separate one) then it would be fast + secure. The only slow part of login is the stupid PIC anyway. (unless I make it 666666 or something it takes a while)
